Orange Lakes - West Villages

How is this section? Are the villages new or older? How is the pool area?

From what I've heard the West Village is the older section, but they have all been redone. Some are separate little "duplex-like" condos. The pool/Lazy River at Orange Lake is awesome! It has several different pools, slides, and the lazy river. We love Orange Lake and will be staying there again this October.

west villages is gthe older section. Its not bad decent size rooms. Hit the pool area in the newer sections though.

1) It is the first, and oldest, section.

. . . 2/3 rehabbed three years ago
. . . all have some signs of wear, but not bad
2) It starts by the road and winds back past the golf course

My kids called them monopoly houses. My husband complained because the back deck overhang was just a couple of feet wide, so no protection from the sun or rain. No screened in area. No view except the golf course.

I would have been willing to go back had it not been for the ant infestation and the fact that they charge $1 for a toll free call.

There are a lot of nice resorts in the area. We never went back to Orange Lake.

I just stayed in the West Village this July. Our two bedroom condo was beautiful. We were condo 2020 (I think). It was totally modern and new. Very spacious! We had granite countertops in the kitchen and the bathrooms. it was clean and very spacious. We were near the West Village exit. Which we wanted. We did not use the pools as we were always in the parks or at the water parks. The only thing I can say bad was the dryer took a while to dry the towels. I took pictures with my iphone but don't know how to upload them.

I would stay here again but much prefer DISNEY property. We got the room really cheap thanks to a friend with points.
