What can anyone tell me. My Aunt just booked us for Christmas week with her RCI exchange. Any good bad or ugly I need to know?

I've stayed there once through RCI as well. It was alright. Nothing really to write home about, but was a place to spread out & relax after long park days. Didn't use any resort amenities, so can't comment on those.

One thing that was particularly entertaining (for us, anyway) was the amount of tree frogs around the property. They were every where & even had one jump on me. I'm not afraid of those cute little guys with suction cup feet, so wound up being a funny part of our experience. That was during the summer though, so you may not have to worry :-). Have a wonderful time!

We stayed 2 years ago. Very spacious rooms. We were 4 adults in a 2 bedroom. We were close to the smaller pool, which worked well for us. The only downside is the smell when we walked to the car. I am not sure, but were told it is near the back of AK where they store the manure until it is hauled away. Not sure how true that is.

ETA: We would stay there again!!

I prefer Orange Lake to the Disney resorts. Sacrilege, I know! The units are more spacious. There is a Target opposite the main entrance as well as a Publix. Plenty of restaurants in the area too. Take Hwy 429 to enter WDW via the western route.

We actually know exactly where it is. We just came back from Westgate Town Center two weeks ago. Love the location. We won't be doing many parks at Christmas, maybe 2 days for that and that is all. We are heading back 10 weeks for our March Break after we return from the Xmas trip. So this is a Xmas present, extra trip for our girls. Looking forward to it. Anyone know what extra costs we may incur at the resort? I read the play pass is $49.95 each person, which seems expensive. Almost a ticket to a park. Thanks again.

We just used an exchange for a week in June. I'l write a report when we get back

We stayed there last year and we were not impressed. It seemed really far from the parks. I didn't care for the no cash policy and I didn't like the tube tv's. The indoor whirlpool tub was not separate from the shower in the master and ours didn't work very well.

I guess my main complaint was that they had tube tv's throughout our room and they were small size tv's. I don't go on vacation to have less than what I have at home.

We will be staying there in September for our honeymoon. I'm rather anxious to try it out! Our best man is letting us use his timeshare ... it's the first time staying off disney property but I can't wait! I've checked it out online and researched the reviews. We are super excited.

So are we. Looking forward to it. I think the only thing that is bothering me is the $250 deposit they hold for paying around the resort being that it is cashless. I hate that they are tying up that much money on me. I can completly understand the cashless resort, just a shame you don't get a say in how much you can deposit. It just means I have to put $250 on a cc in advance to not eat up my available credit. That and I try not to use my cc when on vacation!
