Orange Lake Shortcut?

Does anyone know of a shortcut to the Animal Kingdom via the Orange Lake Country Club resort? Someone had said that there was a shortcut from Orange lake so you didn't even have to take the main route. Is this true?? THANKS!

Turn left onto Black Lake Road, and turn left again onto Sherberth at the Holiday Inn/McDonald's, and you'll end up on Osceola Parkway between the Animal Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
