Orange Lake Quad Queen Room?

I looked at this on the OLCC website, and it sounds pretty good for the price. Has anyone ever stayed in one of these? I wonder if it is an older section that is run down.

I think this is considered a clubhouse studio queen quad. It sounds like a good deal for the price. It would not include a full size kitchen, but just a coffee maker and fridge. It would include a VCR and 2 tvs and 2 baths, so I guess the only difference in this and the 2 BR is the lack of a full size kitchen.

The list of activities is mind boggling there! I think the luau sounds like fun too! Has anyone here ever been to the luau there? How was the food?

It was listed for $80/night if you stayed from 3 - 5 nights. This is listed under the specials on their website. The 2 BR condo is going for much more, so I rationalized it out that I would be just as well off with this type of room even though there was no kitchen. I probably won't be doing any cooking anyway. I called last night and was told this is close to the clubhouse, and is located very close to the pools and beach area. Sounds pretty good to me. Unless I hear some disparaging reviews, I think I'll probably stick with what I got.

My rate is for visits in April and May. I think the rates go up a bit for visits in June and later.

Hi thanks for the info. I found the rate. Just wondering, if I should keep my rate of 849.00 before taxes for 7 nights 8 days for june 06 for 2 bed , this rate is through referral from friend or try my luck with specials any input Jill

I tried to PM you back earlier, but kept getting the "busy" response, sorry. I'm not familiar with this exact unit, but wonder if it's in the building that actual check in is in. We did not tour those when we considered buying, but did tour the "older" units and felt they were great too. We were in the North Village, which is very new and was very plush on our stay and while the older units were not AS plush, they were still very nice and clean and had great layouts in my opinion. From my original research, I do think the units that did not have full kitchens were in that main building. I can't really see why that wouldn't be a fine place to stay (I don't think you have patio or screen porches though), you'd be close to things that's for sure. We never ventured down to that building or even saw the main pool and beach area. We only utilized Splash Lagoon and were very happy. Have fun.

I think if we're in the clubhouse, we'll be up close to the front of the resort--true? I just really can't see any negatives to this. I didn't get to 'Ohana last summer, so that luau sounds pretty cool!
