How are the on-site restaurants at OLCC???

I was about to ask about the resort so I think I will just tag along on this thread. What is the resort like. I know lots of people like it but I tried to find it when I was in Fla but with no success. Can anyone give me an idea of price and is it a timeshare resort?

Vinny - we spent a week there in a 2 bedroom condo 7/25 - 8/1 and enjoyed it. We never did get to eat at the restaurants because we prepared food in the condo or ate closer to an attraction we were visiting. Sorry I'm not more help.

The resort is a timeshare community on 192 West. I got a great price from winning a bid from skyauction.com. You may see a tour of the resort and units at www.myorangelake.com

We ate breakfast at the restaurant by the golf course and that was very good. We went for drinks one nite and people were having dinner, which looked good. Orange Lake is a top notch resort

Going for 9 nights starting the day after Thanksgiving and can't wait!!! Staying in a 3 bedroom

We stayed there two years ago. We ate breakfast at the restruant in the main building and it was terrible. We found cardboard in the pancakes. Thank goodness there were krispy Kreme donuts.

We've stayed at a number of timeshares and i give OL only a fair rating.

We stayed at OLCC last December after winning a RSG auction on Sky Auction for $265 for a 2 bedroom condo. After much advice from these boards, we requested the North Village and got it. Our condo was beautiful. The night before we had stayed at Royal Pacific at Universal and, although, that hotel is quite nice, you only get a room. OLCC was so much better roomwise and we paid the same for 7 nights as 1 night at Royal Pacific. The condo was brand new, huge, and very quiet. My husband said that is the best he ever slept on vacation. I loved getting in the Jacuzzi at the end of a long Disney day. Looking at the golf course every morning was pure heaven for my husband. He is a golfer. He did golf one day and loved it. As for the restaurants, the OPs original question, we never ate there. There are a ton of restaurants in that area. And a grocery store right at the entrance. Any other questions, please ask.

Bunny, did you find the North Village location close to the entrance or did it take a while to get in and out of the resort? We going Oct. 30th and I can't decide whether to request the North Village or Tennis Villas (near clubhouse). My son & friend are 15. Thanks.

North Village is closer to the alternate entrance, where the Publix is. You turn in, go a little ways past the gate and the circle and take a left. North Village is on your right.

The Tennis Villas are right behind the Clubhouse at the main entrance. Those are the high rise buildings I believe.

We have stayed at Orange lake twice..

One week in a Older unit and 2 weeks in a New one last December.

Like most other's we did not eat at the onsite restaurants.

We used the kitchen in the unit.....

But the resort it self is great....even better if you golf...
