Options to use expiring points to book a cruise?

We’ve got 200 Aug use year points booked on a poly trip for May 22. Looking like that may not happen. We are not interested in RCI. Before I call dvc to see what cruise options are I figured I’d ask here. These points are set to expire July 31. Can I transfer them to book a late 2020 Disney cruise or early 2021? I realize cruise is not a great use for points but only considering this over losing them. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Assuming your points are eligible, they would need to be valid for the time of the cruise.

In addition, you wouldn’t be able to use them for even a last minute July cruise because you cant schedule a trip in the Disney collection during your last 4 months of a UY, unless you book it prior to that time, DVC has to be able to give Disney time to rent a room for cash,

It certainly doesn’t hurt to call and ask, just in case.

Ok thank you Sandi. I wasn’t sure if transferring them out of dvc to book on cruise would change the expiration at all. We’ve always just used our points at dvc resorts so this is all new to us.
