Hi everyone!! Here are my trip options so far:
1 Shades of Green hotel for 6 nights plus airfaire 1600
2 Port Orleans Riverside plus 5 day myw tickets 1800
3 Nickelodeon Suites 6 nights plus airfaire 1900
this is for 5, 2 adults 3 kids flying from dsm iowa (high plane fair from our small state!! just plane tickets for 5 would be 1079 for non frill airline) but that is fine
we are eligible for SOG and SOG discount tickets for MYW so I am not sure if it would be cheaper to do the SOG or Nick lodging and buy SOG military park tickets...so much to consider here!! We would rent a car to stay at Nick suites but a military discount would be able to rent for 100 a week!! The kids are BEGGING me to go to Nick but after price comparing I just don't know what is best, if we had a family suite at Nick we could make our own bkfsts and save meal money and I know food onsite is soooo expensive
BTW the folks at Dreams Unlimited helped me w my package!! SO MUCH cheaper than rack rates at disney.com...we also plan to go to Sea World for a day so I don't think a 5 day park pass would be necessary and then we would spend $$$ on taxi getting to Sea World so might as well rent a car with a large family! This is sooo exciting I never imagined a family trip could be so affordable really. I thought about going to travelocity and booking the Roadway Inn but I don't want some sleazy motel here and the old saying is true get what u pay for here...any advice?? Thanks
