Options for Riding Guardians

I have one Disney day on this trip. The focus is DHS/Star Wars, but we're getting park hoppers and going to Epcot in the evening + EEH. I need to confirm my info and get opinions. My understanding is that my options for riding Guardians are:

7 a.m. VQ drop - Is it correct that I don't have to be in any park, my ticket can be for DHS with a hopper, and I can ride any time after my riding group through the end of EEH? But very difficult to get.

6 p.m. VQ drop - Still don't have to be in the park yet, just need EEH access. Easier to get but will still go fast. Boarding group likely to be during EEH, burning a lot of that time when I want to peacefully walk on Soarin and Spaceship Earth and then ride Remy.

Buy LLSP seven days ahead and book an evening time. Can I do this if I have DHS tickets with a hopper and buy a LLPP at DHS for the same day? If I can, how late could I be for my time? I assume all LLSP access ends when EEH starts?

7 am VQ drop - as long as you have date-based tickets, this should work. If you have an AP or other type of ticket where you need to make a park reservation, you'd need an Epcot reservation to try to get that VQ. I went over spring break when all of us needed a park reservation. I was able to book us a VQ and then switch our reservation over to HS right after getting that booked without a problem, but it's a risk you take if park reservations are limited.

6 pm VQ drop - I've never done EEH but from what I've read this is all correct.

LLSP - you should be able to book a time within your preferred window as long as there are still slots available. Seven days out, you should be ok.

We've done the 6pm VQ for EEH a couple of times...and yes...you can "waste" a lot of that time in the queue but...what we did the last two times was...even though our BG was called, we waited until 5-10 min before EEH is over and got in line. Granted, this made it a very late night but we are night people anyway.

That might be the best option if I don't want to hassle with the 7 a.m. VQ or a LLSP. I had planned to go to Remy at the end of EEH as we headed out that exit, but it's fine if I don't.

You’ve got the general idea right. For the 7 a.m. VQ drop, you don’t need to be in any park, but it’s super tough to get, so be ready to act fast. The 6 p.m. VQ is easier, and you only need EEH access to grab a group, though it’ll still go quickly. If you end up with a boarding group during EEH, you’ll miss out on some of that chill time in Epcot, but you can still enjoy Soarin', Spaceship Earth, and Remy after. As for the LLSP, you can definitely buy it with a hopper, just make sure to pick an evening time since it’ll end before EEH starts, and you don’t want to miss that window.

I've had the opposite experience. The 6pm VQ goes a lot quicker because there is a lot less time allowed for the VQ. So fewer "spots". I have been able to get the VQ at 6pm, but I was next to a group who were also trying and they literally hit the button about 3 seconds after me and the queue was already full for the evening. And this was in late August when it was not busy. I've always been able to get the 7am VQ as long as you click "join queue" right at 7am. I would try at 7am and if you don't get it, then try at 6pm. If you get the 7am, you can try again for the 6pm and ride twice! Or you can pay to ride, that won't go as quickly, but don't hesitate, either!

A few months ago we managed to ride GotG 3x one night—we booked at the 1pm VQ, bought a LLSP, and got. VQ at 6p. That ride never gets old! Even my mom, who is in her 70s, ever tires of it!
