Opions Please.....

There's a thread that somebody purchased SSR recently at $66. I like to take a peak time to time at TTS listing. And about 2 weeks ago, i actually contacted TTS about selling SSR and they recommended listing at about $75. That's a pretty big swing in 2 weeks.
This compares a selling price with a listing price. There may be negotiations which bring that $75 down to $66 or even lower. :confused3

Selling prices are lower than ever. We all wish we had the crystal ball to tell when it hits bottom! ;)

12% below listing... and then 10% commission + fees...:scared1:

If you were staying at WDW for more weeks per year with SSR, yet spending those weeks wishing you were in BLT with a MK view, then I don't think those extra points or weeks would be worth much to you at all. In that case, you should skip the extra points and buy BLT.

On the other hand, as we get older, our desire to be "in the middle of it all" decreases -- at least for some of us. Peace and quiet becomes number one. Plus parking at the door. For those of us who are that lucky, we get to stay where we want AND get the lowest points per stay.

Sounds like you need BLT to me. You would probably kick yourself if you didn't buy what your hearts are telling you to buy.

Well said, this is what i've told my friends too, at this time SSR is not suitable for me being that my DS is only 3 and I needed something closer to the parks. He loves the characters, fireworks and all the excitement at MK, and the MK view at BLT would be perfect for him. As he gets older, then maybe that's when i need a nice relaxing place like SSR while he can go do what he wants :goodvibes . My friend on the otherhand likes to just hang around pools and away from all the crowds which SSR would be perfect for him.

It's easy, buy where you want to stay.

If you have young kids, BLT is a major player. We have SS and transportation can be stressful with young kids.

I would rather stay less and stay where I want to be, than stay somewhere I don't want to be for longer.

I haven't ever stayed at SS. I have stayed at OKW and I LOVED it. I was surprised at how much I did in fact enjoy it. That being said, remember the old adage,

Location, Location, Location.......

Exactly my thought. The main reason i add on BLT for my 3yo and was looking to sell SSR so I can get entirely BLT. The last few trips to SSR was so stressful on transportation like you wouldn't believe.

I agree that it is tempting when you see some of the resale contracts and the prices they are passing ROFR.

But, then I think...will I be happy if I CAN'T get into BLT for a trip at 7 months? The answer for me would be no. So, although saving a few thousand would be a great thing, being at Disney and being at BLT will be an AMAZING thing!!!
