I'm getting ready to call tomorrow to book a May trip to take advantage of the new deal that is out, and since we're already within 180 days, I'm working on tentative dining ressies so I can take care of that at the same time.

It'll be 7 nights at AKL, with a cast of me, DH, DS10, DD7 and DD9mo. This is what I have in mind so far. The underlined are places we've tried before.

Arrival, no park. Jiko for dinner.

Animal Kingdom. Tusker House lunch, Yak & Yeti dinner.

Epcot. Teppan Edo lunch, Tutto Italia dinner.

Magic Kingdom. CRT lunch (if we can get it, otherwise I'm thinking Wave), Ohana dinner.

Epcot. Restaurant Marrakesh lunch, Le Cellier dinner (if we can get it - I don't have a backup in mind yet)

Studios. Brown Derby lunch, Spoodles dinner.

Magic Kingdom. Chef Mickey breakfast, Narcoosees dinner.

Departure day. Room service breakfast and a swim before we leave.

On those reservations, I'd have 19 of 21 credits planned. We'd use the rest for counter service to fill in here and there, with at least one trip to Main Street Bakery for take-out to have as late night snacks.

So, how does it look? I'm not used to pulling things together so quickly, but we weren't sure about doing a May trip but this buy-4-get-3 deal convinced us. :goodvibes

ADR's are available through March 22 other than CRT, CM and V&A - so the only reservations that you'll have to make today are your CRT and CM's.

If you're not already subscribed to the ADR thread - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1977770 Kep your eye on this thread for dining reservation updates.

Otherwise your dining selections look great!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! That gives me more time to get everything planned out. Hopefully long enough to see some park hours, at least! :cool1: :cool1:

If you don't get CRT, stay in MK and try for Crystal Palace. May be a bit corney for the older ones, but the food will be good, it will be convenient and might be fun for the baby.

The Plaza is another good option for a sit down meal in MK. Lighter meal might be a good choice since 'Ohana is an all you care to eat event.

We love Boma for breakfast so I would try to sneak that in if you haven't done it. It's so good. Jike was excellent and you will really enjoy it! Get the pistachio creme brulee - YUM!

The only other one I can comment on is Ohana. We loved this place! We had 5:30 reservations and I must say things were heating up around 7 or so as we were leaving. So next time I would try to book it a little bit later

I'm really looking forward to Jiko, because it was one of the few signatures we couldn't fit into the last trip (along with Brown Derby, Flying Fish and Citrico). The menu looks really interesting, but being at AKL it is sort of out of the way if you're staying anywhere else. We're thinking about a DVC purchase now, though, and want to stay at AKL before deciding where to buy.

We've been to Kona for dinner on both of our last two trips and Ohana always looks like such fun that we decided we have to fit it in this time. We eat late-ish, around 7:30-8, so hopefully the fun will be in full swing while we're there.

Oh AKL is an awesome resort! We loved it so much when we stayed there but we bought BWV for the proximity to WS and because we could find 100 pt resales (didn't want a full contract). AKV was new at the time so there weren't resales yet.

We're looking at buying about 150pts, but if we like AKL we'll just go 160 to buy direct from Disney. Since there are 5 of us I really want to like AKL; I love BCV but the clock is ticking on how much longer we'll fit in a 1 bedroom. :rotfl:

Unless you want to use your points right away, they are some great deals at the timeshare store. AKL points from disney are going up to $114 per point in january and at the timeshare store you can get em for $88. As a first time buyer you will have to pay the closing fees either way and timeshare store has financing as well as disney. It does take longer though and sometimes there aren't points availale for use right away. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I'll probably be looking more at the finances in about 6 months or so, to decide what's the best deal and if we're willing to wait to have points. We won't actually be buying until around this time next year, so we have plenty of time o research and decide.

You have to do Le Cellier (ecopt Canada) for Lunch or dinner. I think you get about the same amount for eat. Great food
