Opinions Wanted for BWV in October 2007

I'm looking to stay at BWV the week of Columbus Day in 2007 (Oct. 6-13). I know October is a busy time at BWV due to the Food & Wine Festival. I'm staying at BCV studio this Halloween and I made that reservation by calling day by day and I was successful.

At BWV for Oct. 2007 I would need a 1 BDR. Just curious what everyone thinks my chances are of getting the 1 BDR if I call day by day like I did with the BCV reservation.

All opinions welcome. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for standard view, your chances are slimmer than if you are looking for a prefered view. I would go ahead and book day by day, and wait list for the standard if not available.

If you call at the 11 month window, you should have no problem. I called last year at the 11 month and I got a standard room with no problem.

BWV is not my home resort so I would be booking at the 7 month window. Also I'm looking to get a preferred view.

Preferred view 1 bedroom should be the easiest room to get at 7 months. But if you want preferred BW view it will be harder. Still NOT impossible. I feel confident you will get something at 7 month day-by-day and you can always waitlist for your first choice. Good luck!

It was a challenge. Smack dab in the middle of my week's stay, there were like 3 days that a studio wasn't available so I had be in a 1BDR for those 3 days and waitlist for the studio. But I was lucky and the studio became available those 3 days and I am now confirmed for a studio for the whole week.

I'm so glad because even though I would still be in the same resort, it would have been a pain to be in a studio for 2 nights, pack up and move to the 1 BDR for 3 nights, and then pack up and move to the studio again for the last 2 nights.

I'm going to pray to the Disney gods that I have same luck in March when I make my reservation for the 1 BDR at BWV for October.

IIRC, there are more PV (pool/garden) rooms at the BWV than there are rooms at the BCV, so I think you will have good luck - especially since you are willing to call day by day and want a 1 bedroom. The 2 bedrooms and studios usually book more quickly than the 1 bedrooms. Good luck!

Do you think I'll have any luck if I wanted a 1 BDR Preferred View facing the Boardwalk/Crescent Lake or do you think I'll have better chances with a 1 BDR Preferred View facing a quiet pool/garden?

I think you will not have much trouble with a 1 bedroom pool/garden, since these are the last rooms to book. If you call day-by-day you may even get a BW view. If you want BW view and it isn't available, you can always waitlist. Good luck!
