Opinions please...

I'm thinking of going down in Dec to see the holiday decorations (boy, these AP's really do burn a hole in your pocket ) We have gone twice this year and probably don't need that much park time. Primarily I'd like to resort/park hop and check out the decorations.

My question is how many days would we need? We will be staying onsite. We will have a rental car. Right now I'm thinking Dec 8-11. I don't really know anything about Dec. DH would never go to WDW in Dec, so I've never researched that time of year. I know we would not be going to MVMCP. I would love to hear your opinions. TIA.

I know you said you didn't need much park time, but assuming you're planning on at least being in the parks some, why not consider a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? It's tons of fun, and a very Christmas-ey side of the MK you wouldn't have seen during the rest of the year. Epcot also has lots of Christmas stuff to see. The Candlelight Processional is amazing, and there's the Santas from around the world telling their Christmas stories in the World Showcase, the Tree Lighting Ceremony every night, and a special Christmas finale to Illuminations. I would plan on at least 2 afternoon/evenings in Epcot, and 1 MVMCP (which is being offered during the days you mentioned on the 8th, 9th, and 11th). That would leave you 3 mornings and 1 full day to resort hop, which should be plenty, assuming you're not traveling on the 8th or the 11th.
