Opinions please!

I am graduating from college in December and my amazing hubby is taking me to Disney to celebrate. We are planning on renting points for this trip. We are trying to decide between Boardwalk and Beach Club. I am leaning toward the Boardwalk because it requires less points. The more economically this trip can be done, the better. Our last trip was spent at Old Key West. The trip before was at Caribbean Beach. I am wondering which is better between the Boardwalk and the Beach Club. I am also curious as to how they compare to the Old Key West. We are planning to stay December 18 -December 23 as I graduate on the 17th of December. We are both 25 and really love Epcot and MGM. Any opinion would be appreciated.

CONGRATS on the upcoming graduation, quite an accomplishment. If I remember correctly, Boardwalk is a little closer to walk to MGM, but either would be fun.

A little more fast paced at BWV's, slower at BCV"s. So whatever you prefer!!!

I am a BWV"s girl myself. But we have stayed at BCV's twice and had a nice time, but if you like a little night life BWV's all the way.

Congratulations

The cheapest is OKW, which has the largest villas. BWV and BCV are the best for close access to Epcot and the Studios. BC is closest to Epcot and BWV closest to the Studios. But it is an easy walk from either resort to either park. Nothing beats a short stroll back to your resort after CP and Illuminations at Epcot!!

If you are a pool fanatic, SAB at BC is the best, but December is not exactly the best pool weather. Beaches and Cream is part of BC and we always make time for a quick bite or ice cream from there!

You mentioned that BWV points are fewer than BCV points, but that's only for BWV standard views. The regular (preferred) views are the exact same amount of points as BCV (and also VWL). OKW and SSR resorts use fewer points.

You're graduating in December, with your December trip. That's a popular time, especially for DVC resorts. You don't mention what kind of room you want but you do say to keep it economical, so I'm guessing you're looking for a Studio?

If you're looking for a standard view Studio at BWV in December, you may already be too late to reserve one. Those units go fast.

Be sure to keep your options open.

The Boardwalk offers restaurants right there, along with nightly entertainment, Jellyrolls, and a Dance Club, besides being a walk away from Epcot & MGM. I think it boils down to personal preference, to us BW is the best DVC property there is! Have an awesome time and congrats on your graduation!

It's really in which theming you like best as the rooms themselves are identical otherwise for the most part BCV's does have the better pool and they also now just reopened the new quick eats place at BC from what I've read. You really cannot go wrong with either. I'd pick by availibility though since you're talking Dec. which can be difficult ....best of luck! And Congrats on your graduation!
