DD is in a cheerleading comptition next weekend at the Anaheim convention center. They don't compete until late on Sat. and mid day on Sunday. Doesn't leave us much time to play.

We want to take the girls (only about 6 of us!) to a charcter breakfast.............

which would be good for teen girls (13-15)

Storytellers breakfast at Disney Grand California
Goofy's Kitch at Disneyland Hotel
or the Disney PCH Grill

?? Thanks..............

Well, I've only done G'sK, but it was a blast. Every 20 minutes or so, the characters do a dance with the kids (young & not-so-young). DW & I enjoyed watching it. Got some good pics.

I second Goofy's Kitchen. There are more characters and I think the food is better than PCH Grill. I have not done Storytellers so I can't say on that one. When we were at Goofy's in February there was a large group of teenage girls near us and they looked liked they were having as much fun as our kids aged 9 and 7. Wherever you go, make a reservation!

I think it depends on how much character interaction you want. Goofy's does have a lot. With you girls being teens, they might enjoy Storytellers. We really enjoy it. Generally the only characters are Goofy, Chip and Dale. They spend a lot of time with the kids but you can easily avoid it, also. The breakfast buffet is great, as well.

I absolutely love the atmosphere at Goofy's Kitchen (but I prefer Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort which I believe is what GF is modeled after), but I have to disagree on the food. We have been twice and just don't feel it is very good value. I know that you are paying for the characters but most of what was available at the buffet was sugary/unhealthy food. ie rice krispie treats, worms in mud. It was 19.95 per adult and 9.95 for kids.

I also loved the atmosphere at Minnie and Friends but I enjoyed the food more at PCH grill. Normally Daisy, Minnie, Goofy and Max are here. I think I enjoyed PCH Grill more primarily because I could order a la carte so the food was cooked to order (fresh) instead of precooked sitting under a heatlamp. I paid 9.95 for the a la carte meal I chose (ham, egg, cheese croissant with potatoes) and I believe 9.95 for the kid's buffet.

We have also enjoyed both food and atmosphere inside DL at the Plaza Inn where Pooh and friends greet you. They give you a really cute Plaza Inn button with Disney characters on it, and a huge Pooh balloon. I also preferred this to Goofy's kitchen because they had a bigger fruit selection then Goofy's kitchen. My daughter ate 3 bowls of strawberries here. LOL

We also love Ariel's Grotto in DCA where you order a price fixed meal that includes soup/salad, entree and yeah cotton candy at the end. You'll meet Ariel, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy and Pluto here. This is a better deal at lunch time then dinner.

We have had wonderful experiences with all locations as far as character interaction. Good luck it is a very difficult choice. We only have the Storyteller Cafe left to try and we plan on doing that in April when we'll be at DLR. We have also done most of the character meals at WDW, we're having fun trying to
experience all of them. LOL

Hope this helps

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I was able to get a ressie at Goofy's kitchen. One of the girls wanted that the most!!

Only wish we could see more of DL during our visit!!

your absolutely right Em. We plan to try to trade our DVC summer 2005 for Hawaii with a stop in LA for some time!! Hopefully it will work out and I will get to see all of DL/CA
