I could use some opinions from the experts.....

My friend and I are taking her daughter to WDW in November. We've been tossing around the idea of tacking on a Disney cruise also. I think it would be great, but we're concerned about her daughter. We'd probably do the Oct. 30 or Nov. 2 cruise and the little one turns 3 on Dec. 8. From what I've read, she won't qualify for any of the onboard programs for children. Without that, will we be able to entertain her all day?

Just wanted to add...
I've been reading about the "nursery" on board also. However, I really don't think that she would enjoy hanging out with the younger kids...she acts more like she's 4 or 5.

My sister's family cruised with us this past January and her little one was a few months shy of 3, but very mature. Has older sibilings and always plays with them. She asked the Oceaneer's Club manager about letting her daughter in there with her older brother and the manager said yes on a trial basis. It worked out fine. She would have not have been happy in Flounders.

she would have to be completely potty trained to be in with the older kids, too......no diapers, no training pants - she would have to be self-sufficient.
