I just finished making ADR's for our upcoming trip in November during Thanksgiving. We will be on the DxDP for 4 nights. We've never done the DxDP so we're pretty excited. We're trying out a bunch of places that are new to us. All adults in the travel party and enjoy TS over CS. Any opinions are welcome as well as suggestions, pictures, etc. Thank you in advance

Wednesday, arrival day, no park
7:00 dinner at Yachtsmen Steakhouse
-New to everyone in the part except myself looking forward to going back.

Thursday, Epcot
9:45 breakfast at Akershus
-None of us have eaten here and we do enjoy a character meal now and then.

5:55 dinner at Le Cellier :woohoo:
-Another new one to us. But when we decided to do the DxDP instead of our normal DDP I knew this had to be on our list.

Friday, Magic Kingdom
1:25 lunch at The Plaza
-Another new one to everyone in the party but myself.

8:45 dinner at Narcoossee's
-Yes, another new one to everyone! It was a toss up between this and California Grill after much debate we chose this because of the lobster. Also it's so late because we hope to see the fireworks from here. I hear they pipe in the music for Wishes is that true?

Saturday, Hollywood Studios
2:10 Tea at the Grand Floridian :thumbsup2:
-Always a must do on our trips. I realize we probably should do this on MK day but even if we did a breakfast, tea and then dinner it is far too much food for us. So we plan to head to HS that morning, get fp's for TSM ride a few rides, go to tea and then return to finish up our night

7:50 Hollywood Brown Derby
-We've eaten here many many years ago (think early 90's). My only concern is the park as of now is to close at 8pm that night, yet our ADR is clearly pretty close to that, should I change it for an earlier time or even to somewhere else outside of the park? I really want to make sure to see the lights. We are not fans of the other places except 50's PTC at the studios. My concerns are being rushed through the meal and getting back to the hotel after dinner we will be staying on property.

Sunday, heading home
11:15 am at Cape May Cafe
-Normally we do dinner here but this year we're switching it up to breakfast. I know there's characters but we really wanted a breakfast buffet without going to a park.

Wednesday, arrival day, no park
7:00 dinner at Yachtsmen Steakhouse We had a fantastic meal in February, tons of pics in my Feb 11 thread in my signature
-New to everyone in the part except myself looking forward to going back.

Thursday, Epcot
9:45 breakfast at Akershus Been to this one twice and enjoyed it both times, the character interaction was the best. Food was great too
-None of us have eaten here and we do enjoy a character meal now and then.

5:55 dinner at Le Cellier Have always enjoyed it in the past and I look forward to trying it as a signature restaurant
-Another new one to us. But when we decided to do the DxDP instead of our normal DDP I knew this had to be on our list.

Friday, Magic Kingdom
1:25 lunch at The Plaza I love this place, they have the best french fries at WDW and they are not like the standard fries you get in the other WDW place. Delish reuben too
-Another new one to everyone in the party but myself.

8:45 dinner at Narcoossee's We are not fans..ate there in Nov 10 (tons of pics in my thread) and we enjoyed apps and dessert but the entrees were terrible
-Yes, another new one to everyone! It was a toss up between this and California Grill after much debate we chose this because of the lobster. Also it's so late because we hope to see the fireworks from here. I hear they pipe in the music for Wishes is that true?

Saturday, Hollywood Studios
2:10 Tea at the Grand Floridian : Been once and it was a great relaxing experience...cannot wait to do it again in Oct

Sunday, heading home
11:15 am at Cape May Cafe Our favorite breakfast, tons of pics in my Nov 10 thread

7:00 dinner at Yachtsmen Steakhouse
One of our favorite restaurants. we were there twice this past month and loved it.

9:45 breakfast at Akershus
Another favorite of ours. Love the character interaction. Can't say anything about breakfast as we always do dinner

5:55 dinner at Le Cellier :woohoo:
Did it for lunch a few weeks ago and loved it.

8:45 dinner at Narcoossee's
We were there on May 5 and hate it. The filet mignon was over cooked twice and the lobster was VERY chewy. We won't be returning there anytime soon.

2:10 Tea at the Grand Floridian
never been there before

7:50 Hollywood Brown Derbyour second favorite meal during our past trip. It will be a must do every trip.

11:15 am at Cape May Cafe
Love it too.

The only day I would be a bit worry about reservations being too close to each other is saturday. We had one day where our meals were roughly the same time as your except ours was CRT and Yachtman and boy did we waste alot at Yatchman.

Fab Choice! I love this

Thursday, Epcot
9:45 breakfast at Akershus

Having never done this meal I would personally not choose it for adults as its a "princess" breakfast but that's just me! I understand and partake in character meals but I just find the idea of going to a meal to see a Princess a little bit weird for myself lol. But saying that my Parents did this and really enjoyed it so its personal preference I think! Personally I would book in to Cape May Cafe and go for Minnie, Goofy & Donald but that's just me - can get to via International Gateway easily from EPCOT

5:55 dinner at Le Cellier :woohoo:
-Another new one to us. But when we decided to do the DxDP instead of our normal DDP I knew this had to be on our list.
Again a nice choice but what I would mention is we have 2 steakhouses going on in 2 day? Do you really need that much meat lol!

Friday, Magic Kingdom
1:25 lunch at The Plaza
-Another new one to everyone in the party but myself.
We had an enjoyable but basic meal here. I was surprised really at how nice it was but the menu was rather slim especially for desserts (only really ice cream when we went). Still I would go back so can't have been bad lol!

8:45 dinner at Narcoossee's
-Yes, another new one to everyone! It was a toss up between this and California Grill after much debate we chose this because of the lobster. Also it's so late because we hope to see the fireworks from here. I hear they pipe in the music for Wishes is that true?
Oh never tried this as not much into seafood etc but it does look nice!

Great option and definately FP for TSM which you can then pop back for later!

You definately shouldn't be rushed! The buses run until 2 hours after park close so I'm sure you will be fine. HBD tends to not feel like a "sit and relax" restaurant to me though. I always get the feeling that I just want to be in and out there but that's just me!

Sunday, heading home
11:15 am at Cape May Cafe
-Normally we do dinner here but this year we're switching it up to breakfast. I know there's characters but we really wanted a breakfast buffet without going to a park.
After recommending this earlier, I will suggest that maybe you try something different. What about 1900 Park Fare (Mary Poppins style lol)! Its such a nice venue and the food is fab!

We ate every signature on our trip. Citricos, jiko, california grill and yachtsman were are favorites. Narcoosees was so-so. We ate at Citricos twice. I would consider that over Narcoossees. I got really sick from the lobster. Narcoosees was also the only restaurant we had to wait at. Our res was at 7:50. We were not seated until almost 9pm. I would also reconsider Le cellier. Its good, but not on par with yachtsman. Why do 2 steakhouses. Artist point was also excellent. Flying fish is not a bad choice either.

We found Narcoossee's to be only fair -- my husband's steak wasn't to his liking, and the mussels I had didn't agree with me. We'd eaten at Citrico's on the previous trip and really loved it. Le Cellier has been very good every time we've gone. They hire a second shift to make extra pretzel bread sticks when they see our names on the reservation list. :rotfl2: The Akershus breakfast is one of the best morning meals going, even if you're not into the princesses. I think if you don't have small children with you they will pretty much come around and say hello but won't make a big deal out of you. Sounds like you have some good eating coming your way this trip. Have a great time.
