Due to scheduling issues I have made an 11:45am adr at Le Cellier for lunch and a 7:10pm adr at Le Chefs de France for dinner on the same day. I really wanted to eat at both of those restaurants and that's the only way it's going to happen.

Do you think that's too much in one day? I'm afraid after a big lunch we won't be in the mood for a big dinner. :confused3 On the other hand, I can't decide between the two. :lmao:

Hey-it's vacation!! I'm sure you normally wouldn't eat two huge meals in the same day, but I'll also guess that you probably don't do ALL that walking in one day, either. You have 7 hours between ADRs---it sounds like a great day to me!!

(I wouldn't be able to choose between them, either!)

Maybe you can split plates, so it's not so much? I can't eat two big meals in one day...if I eat a big lunch, I'm never that hungry at dinner time. I see you are going with some friends...if there's three of you, maybe you can order two lunches and split it three ways that way you have a bigger variety of "tastes". Me and DH always order something different from each other so we can experience a bigger variety.

Oohh, that's a good idea. We can share at lunch and/or dinner. :thumbsup2

On the other hand, if we work up an appetite by walking and being on the go all day long, we can always get our own.

Thanks everyone! I'm just overthinking everything, of course. It's like these are major life decisions, lol.

:)

No, but only because your reservations are so far apart. When i do 2 sit-down restaurants in the same day, I like to do a late morning (breakfast) or very early lunch (11 or 11:30), and then do dinner no earlier than 5 hours after what I expect our end-time to be...which is usually about an hour after we start.

So, in your situation, you'll ought to be done with lunch by 1 and then your dinner is 6 hours later. Perfect.

It's FINE! With all the walking you'll be doing...you'll find yourselves hungry after every 3-4 hours......

You might even need a little snack in between....

GREAT choice.... Le Cellier is my new "MUST HAVE" ressie after FINALLY trying 2 weeks ago.... I TOTALLY AGREE with PP's re: Cheese Soup and Mushroom Filet...

Have a magical visit !

We did Les Chefs (12 noon) and Le Cellier (7:10) on the same day last year, except our ressies were the opposite of yours--lunch for Les Chefs and dinner at Le Cellier. While we enjoyed both A LOT, we were kind of, no not kind of--absolutely, miserable after Le Cellier. All of us said we wished we had eaten lighter/less/not gotten so full at Les Chefs (we wished that the three of us had shared two of the three course fixed prix lunches--so I agree with PP that's a great idea) because we were still not truly hungry when we got to Le cellier and we did not feel we had enjoyed it as much as we might have otherwise since we really weren't hungry yet. We did not even want dessert at Le Cellier. But like you, I couldn't bear to give up either one, so hopefully this helps you have a better game plan than I had.

But your ressies have Le Cellier first, so I think you will be fine, especially if you share at Les Chefs. There are a lot of fun things to try at Les Chefs, so sharing opens up more opportunities! (My little 8 year old "foodie" said "Oh Mommy tell them to try the Onion Soup and the alsace flatbread!!! And the macaroni and cheese. And the cheese plate. And..." LOL).

I say go for both!!!!

Thanks everyone!

Please tell the 8 year old foodie he/she has good taste. That flatbread is super yummy. :thumbsup2

We try to east TS for every lunch and dinner.Sounds like a lot but sharing or eating just apps and dessert can help those who don't have prodigious appetites.Last time we ate Le Cellier for lunch we ate Bistro for dinner for a very French inspired day.
