I wanted to add one more meal to our plan and I knew it was short notice as we leave in a few weeks. I asked for a good steak place and I know Le Cellier was not available after month of trying. She booked us for Chef De France. Has anyone heard or ate at this place?

We ate there last September and liked it so much we have reservations for 2 different nites when we go next month. The food was very good and the atmosphere was great. We all loved it!!:thumbsup2

I LOVE  Les Chefs. I'm aiming for a lunch AND dinner next trip. The filet and onion soup are delish.

We're also Chefs fans. It's our favorite non-signature restaurant. I haven't tried the steak there, but everything else we've tried has been great.

I was so worried because she said to pick a night and name a timeframe cause she had that many openings - eek

We had lunch there in September and it was excellent! :thumbsup2

I don't want to say this for a fact, but that may have something to do with the fact that just because it's "in France", people who don't like typical french food (i.e. Duck, escargot, etc.) may not even give it a shot.

I only say this because my DH refuses to eat there, even though I am dying to try it. No matter how appealing the menu looks...he just assumes there will be some sort of french flair to the meal that makes it unappetizing to him. So instead, Le Cellier it is.

Have a great meal!:thumbsup2

I have had the tenderloin at Chef de France but I don't remember there being any other steak on the menu. For what its worth - Chefs is not our favorite restaurant but its decent. For steak - if you don't mind signature - I would go with the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

For Filet Mignon Chefs de France is my FIRST choice! I have ALWAYS had a great steak there! :woohoo: It melts in my mouth! YUMMY! We have went every year for the past 5 years! We stopped going to Le Cellier because of Chefs! :cheer2:

eeek she said they had steak, your skeering me :)

Don't worry, they do have steak. You can view the whole menu if you go to www.allearsnet.com. What I meant was, people associate France with all sorts of "weird" food and therefore, don't even bother to check the menu to see if they have something they would like (i.e. steak).

We ate dinner at Chefs this past March and it was awesome!

If you're planning on using a dining plan, go for it. DF and I ate there in Sept (first weekend of F&W), and we liked it. We were on DxDDP, and enjoyed our food, but figured that if we were paying for it OOP, it would have been a bit overpriced. We were also wondering if we would have been more impressed with it had we dined earlier in the evening...our reservations were for around 8:30-8:45 on a night were the park closes at 9:00, so it was a bit later than we'd usally eat. We found the food to be quite good, and the service was ok. If you're looking for a realllllllllllllly good steak, and have an extra credit to play around with on DDP/DxDDP, I'd go with Jiko.
