opinions please!! cape may clam bake- do it or skip it

I like Cape May well enough, but one thing to keep in mind is that there isn't all that many seafood choices on their menu. Mussels, clams, and shrimp is about it. They do offer crab legs for an additional charge. If you're going there just for seafood, you might be a bit disappointed in the offerings, but as far as overall buffets go, it's pretty good.

They also had salmon and clam chowder last October when we were there...Steamed red potatoes and corn on the cob is also available.

Yes, I forgot about the chowder. I was only referring to the seafood choices on the menu since these are pretty much just appetizer items in any seafood restaurant in New England. That's why I said if you're going there strictly for seafood, you might find the choices a bit lacking. The non-seafood menu items are great and added to the seafood offerings makes Cape May Cafe a good place to eat, IMO.

My DDad ate about 500-600 clams the last time we were there.

I myself probably ate around 300.

It's a good experience. Especially if you are a seafood lover.
