Opinions on which parks please

We have a three day pass - one park per day.

Would you visit MK all three days or 3 different parks? If different what would be your choices for a 2 and 8 year old.

No doubt they will probally enjoy the MK the best but I would not do it for 3 days, Overkill!! Do your kids enjoy animals, then AK is the place. They would really enjoy the safari and the boneyard (themed playground and digging area for kids). Alot of kids are into Dinosaurs so they would probally like the ride Dinosaur and Lucky the Dinosaur. I love the Kali River Rapids but you do get wet! After AK you could go over to DTD and go to the hugh DIsney store and the lego place. I think that age group (well at least the 8 yr.old) would also like Epcot with Test Track, Journey into Imagination, Soaring is new and got good reviews. Again if they like Dinosaurs, Universe of Energy is good after they get through a really long boring part. If Disney read these boards they would know how most people feel about that (sorry, just venting). Also the World Showcase is good for kids, showing them the different customs. The rides in Mexico and Norway are nice. There are so many places to eat there also, you could even to go out of the park through France and walk over to Beaches and Cream (at the Beach Club, about a 5 min. walk) and have a nice lunch or dinner there which the kids would like http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_bc.htm Either way I would play it by ear Maybe plan on doing MK the 1st day and either AK or Epcot the 2nd and maybe back to the MK the 3rd. I didn't mention MGM cause to tell you the truth I don't think it is geared towards younger kids. Good Luck

3 days is too much at MK. I'd probably do 2 at MK and 1 at Epcot. Actually, I'm lying, I'd get hoppers and do all 4.

My son, who is 11 now, would rather do Epcot than any other park. He has a mellow personality and Epcot is a great place to people watch and shop. For a long time he preferred MGM over MK, but I think MK is in 2nd place now because he's bored with ToT and RnRC. The bottom line is that its good to let your kids see as much as possible and let them decide what they like best. They may surprise you.

Hi Melissa! For me, a specific answer depends upon when you are planning to visit. Certain times of year, such as summer and major holidays, you would need at least two days at Magic Kingdom just to see most of those attractions. During light attendance times, however, you can cover everything at MK in one long day.

I asked my 7-year-old DD (a WDW verteran) how she would spend your passes. She votes for one day each at Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom.

Don't try to see everything--three days simply isn't enough. My advice - Do some reading before your trip and make a list of must sees, but save time for a few extras. You're sure to whet your appetite for future trips.

We had the same tickets as you (we just got back yesterday!) and for the longest time I figured MK all 3 days for our daughters, 3 and 6. A couple weeks before leaving we decided to do the Princess lunch at Akershus and therefore, spend the middle day at Epcot. It was a nice change of pace. There were a lot of rides/places we didn't get to in the MK with our 2 days there, but it was enough. We did only spend from 11:00 to 5:45 at Epcot which was plenty for the girls. What the little girls enjoyed- Soarin'- (which our 3 year old was only tall enough for because she had her thicker soled shoes on); China and seeing Mulan (we only hit the highlights of a few countries due to our time constraint); Minnie's Butterfly Garden; the Characters on Holiday bus; Princess lunch. What they did NOT enjoy: The Living Seas and Spaceship Earth.

We didn't go to Animal Kingdom at all so I don't know about that.

Put me down for the studios on one day. Awesome family restaurants, shows, and your 8 year old will be big enough to go on rnr and tot. Plus, fantasmic is awesome.

Hi there -

We were there in April (we have a 2 yr old, 6 yr old & 11 yr old) and I would not have missed MGM for my 2 year old.

Playhouse Disney Live on Stage was one of her favorites! She also loved the Voyage of The Little Mermaid at MGM.

So..... I would either do one long day at Magic Kingdom (or go early then leave for lunch & nap and return to MK in the evening), then definitely a day at Epcot. The Living Seas is one of my childrens' favorite places in Epcot. To sit and watch the dolphins & beautiful fish up close is great, and Turtle Talk with Crush will just blow you away. We all loved it!!!

Then a final day at MGM for Playhouse Disney & Little Mermaid. If your 8 year-old would enjoy Tower of Terror or Rock-n-Roller Coaster (definitelty for thrill seekers! 48 inch height requirement for R-N-RC) then MGM might offer something for each of them. The Great Movie Ride & Muppet 3D are good MGM options for both kids. Good Luck!

Best Advice - Go Early and ride TOT and R-N-RC first - they tend to get so crowded. Then go to the Playhouse Disney area for the little one. The Great Movie ride is usually not too hard to wait for, same with Muppet 3D. Later in the day at Al's Toy Barn the kids can greet Buzz, Woody & Jessie too!
