I never see any reviews on this place..or maybe I was just never paying attention! I just called in looking to change a few things and this was suggested to me. (And they had a number of times available for 9/13!!)

She said they have a fun camp fire and sing a long with chip and dale, followed by a movie. How's the food and camp fire?

I'm staying at all star sports - would we have to go to MK first to take a bus here?

The food isn't bad. Good ribs and fried chicken on the buffet. Please be aware that the campfire program with Chip and Dale along with the nightly Disney movie is held at the Meadows complex and Not near Trails End restaurant. If you wish to attend its a quick bus ride.

We've eaten at Trails End twice and loved it, however I understand their menu has changed recently. I can't remember what the changes were though. Its a nice break from the MK to have lunch or dinner at Trails End.

The woman really hyped this place up .. She said the food was pretty good and the campfire was alot of fun. I was just wondering why I never hear about it and why there were prime times available!!

FW regulars try to keep T.E. as our little secret;) Some people think getting to FW is a hassel so they don't even try it. If you are coming from MK, your all set, take the boat the FW then walk a very short distance to the restaraunt. If you are coming from any other park the bus drops you at the Outpost area of FW and then you must take an internal bus back to the restaraunt.

As for the movie/campfire, it is held everynight starting at 8pm during summer and 7pm after the time changes in the fall. From T.E. it is about a 15 min walk if you want or a very short ride on the Orange Outpost bus(bus depot is the other side of T.E. from the boat dock).

My family will eat at T.E. at least once per trip because it is easy for us. The food is good, not gourmet by any means, but simple homestyle cooking. The service there has, for us, always been friendy and effecient. It is also one of the only places to get sweet tea.

The lunch buffet has changed - it doesn't have the fried chicken, etc. that it had (more salad, soups, sandwiches). I was there again yesterday, it's long been a favorite of mine. (there was cold fried chicken, just not hot).

The lunch buffet could certainly change back - or I suppose, eliminated if it isn't worth Disney to keep it open.

I have read mixed reviews here. The lunch menu is supposed to be cold food only, and some have complained that the dinner wasn't as good as before either. Ribs are soaked in greasy BBQ sauce, chicken is greasy, carved meat was portioned out in small slices. It made me rethink going there, because it's still $18 or $19 per person for dinner. Since it's sort of off the beaten path, I think we'll try someplace else.

I ate at Trail's End for dinner last year, we had a horrible experience due to an incompetent CM. I really was not impressed with the food, I like more of a variety when I'm at a buffet. But it is considered to be one of the best bargains on property since it's a lot cheaper than a buffet at Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's.
