Opinions on Trail's End?

We are traveling with friends who would like to see Ft. Wikderness since they may want to go to WDW with their RV next time. We were thinking of eating at the buffet at Trail's End when we go over there. Would you recommend it for dinner? Or should we move on elsewhere to eat?

We love Trail's End! It is a very good, moderately priced buffet. Great fried chicken, corn bread, peel and eat shrimp, chili etc. Very nice deserts.

If you time it right, you can go down to the beach after and watch the Electric Boat Parade.

You and your friends may also enjoy the "Camp Fire" nights. A free Disney movie outdoors, entertainment with Chip n Dale and all the fixins for smores available to buy to toast your own over the open fires. Fun!

We live locally and try to get there once a month during good weather.

here is another yes vote for the trails end buffet. we had a blast and the menu had loads for everyone in our party which included 5 adults and 4 kids.

I am also voting yes for Trails End! The food is soo good, and that's the only restaurant I went to that had cherry coke! Yummy! And that area of the resort is just nice to walk around especially by the marina.

Can someone tell me if you can park near this place? I just made an ADR there today but have never been inside Ft. Wildnerness. Can't wait to try it! Thanks.

I dont think you can park close too it because that resort has internal buses running through there only (and golf carts). But you can park outside the resort in the parking lot (where check in is located) but then you have to take the buses to get there. Its confusing trying to explain it but its really easy. Or depending on where you are coming from, you can take the boat!

Trail's End is not bad. It's fairly reasonable in price, the wait is minimal, and the fried chicken is excellent. Have a great time.

Shhh......I think one of the best kept secerts of WDW. We have only been to there for breakfast, and its a family favorite. The cost is fair, your basic breakfast buffet (w/ WDW charm), friendly CMs and never really out of control busy. Every trip with the kids we ask where they'd like to eat, they always choose TE. And its a nice boat ride over from MK. Good luck in what ever you decide

I agree - one of the best kept secrets! No, you can't park near it. You will have to park at the main parking lot of Ft. W and catch a bus, or you can take the boat from the MK, WL, or Cont. and ride over. I think that's the quickest option. We waited a good while for the right bus to come by the FW parking lot.

Food is good! Not as many selections as other WDW buffets, but it's a real value in WDW terms. Breakfast is great too.
