Im in full planning mode right now, and would like some opinions on my PS list. (only another 40 odd days to go before bookings can commence!!).

Definate ones:

'Ohana x 2 (Dinner)
CRT (breakfast)
Chef Mickeys...breakfast or dinner? Opinions please!! Have done brekkie before and loved it, is dinner better?
1900 Park Fare...Dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe...Lunch
Hollywood & Vine...Fantasmic Dinner Package
Crystal Palace Lunch.
Le Cellier Lunch / Possibly dinner if just me and DH!
EDITED TO ADD: forgot my only ACTUAL PS which is the Very Merry Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern (thanks for reminding me Karen!!).

Unsure of's!!

Boma...ate there last year and found it mediocre. Should I give it another chance?
Cape May...always sounds nice, never made it here yet, which meal is best, Brekkie or dinner? Possible dinner before Illuminations Cruise??
Dine With Shamu....any opinions on this? The menu seems limited and expensive, though DD is keen.
Alternatively, the one with the sharks (I forget what its called). Any one eaten here?

I also need suggestions for:

A nice family meal on Christmas Eve. Doesnt have to be at Disney, but we intend to do Mk for part of the day.

A family Christmas Lunch or dinner.

A romantic meal for two. Have considered California Grill but didnt fancy the menu at all. Have heard good reports about Jiko? Any comments? Other contenders are Yachtsmans Steakhouse or Artists Point. Neither of us like Seafood or anything too fancy...we are steak and chips sort of people (yes, common!!).

All other suggestions gratefully recieved!

Hi Allie

And I thought I was the only one to not fancy Cali Grill!

Can only help on a couple...Chef Mickey's we loved for dinner. Great choice and although I have seen others complain the food had been out on the hot plate thingys for too long we definitely did not find this to be the case. There was a great selection for adults and children and the characters were lots of fun with napkin waving etc. So much fun in fact that DD's are insisting we go again this time  (and yes I have tried the tack of "don't you want to try one of the other lovely places Disney has to offer?! ;)) We will be trying breakfast instead though. So I don't know which is better - sorry - but dinner was great for us.

We loved H&V for lunch last time (though no charcters any more :() again, great choices - could not beleive how many! I guess it would be as good if not better for dinner.

I am quite disturbed again by the number of similarities with my PS list!! And where is Liberty Tree Tavern fior MVMCP???!!

For me (and this is based only on what I have read, not on personal experience) I would be inclined to go for Artist Point for your romantic meal (though I gather The Yachtsman is fantastic too!)

Sorry not much help there really!

Karen

OK Allie :) You know food is my favourite topic....

<b>'Ohana</b>Dinner oh yes..we loved it there, and won't hesitate to go back again.

<b>CRT (breakfast)</b> You must see Cinderella in the Castle - Food just OK.

<b>Chef Mickeys...breakfast or dinner? Opinions please!! Have done brekkie before and loved it, is dinner better?</b> Love breakfast and dinner, but I must say it is a great place to go to after a day in the MK - Food is good here too.

<b>1900 Park Fare...Dinner</b> Yum lovely food here, and you get to meet Prince Charming;) Great setting too.

<b>Whispering Canyon Cafe...Lunch</b> Not tried yet!

<b>Hollywood & Vine...Fantasmic Dinner Package</b> A great buffet dinner here, we go every year.

<b>Crystal Palace Lunch.
Le Cellier Lunch / Possibly dinner if just me and DH!</b> Not tried either :(

Unsure of's!!

<b>Cape May Breakfast</b> We did it for the first time last year - and absolutely loved it. Great food and brilliant characters.

What about <b>Flying Fish</b> for a romantic meal and then a stroll along the boardwalk - its not all fish there :)

Hi Allie

We leave on Monday and have booked Cape May Cafe for final day character brekkie. We also have chef Mickeys dinner booked and Artist Point which someone suggested. i will be doing a trip report when I come back which is before your PS window opens - i will let you know what we thoguht.

We are also doing Dine with Shamu - we didn't book it for the menu but because my aunt and uncle are mad about Shamu the killer whale so I will also report back on this.

Mel

Hi Allie,

We went to Orlando last Christmas and ate at some of your options:

H&V buffet is great - massive choice and absolutely wonderful turkey!

Dine with the Sharks at Sea World was our very favourite. The meal was the best we had in Orlando, service excellent and the setting magnificent - be sure to ask for a table next to the glass. You have a wonderful view of all the sealife but it really is special to be seated right next to a huge shark!

Have heard bad reports about the Shamu dinner - poor food and quite often the whales stay away from the diners so you do not necessarily get a get look at them.

Thanks for the responses.

Karen, yes Artists Point is looking a definate possibility! It will be difficult to book though, as we are just going to choose an evening when the kidlets crash out early, and we can leave them with mum (who will be quite happy if there are any Dallas reruns on ;) ). It will be just be a matter of calling WDW-DINE on the night and seeing whats available (we usually find a table for two is easy to obtain, even in the most popular places). I want plenty of options, though DH will be quite happy with Ohana or Chef Mickeys!!!

Kaylee, hadnt considered Flying Fish (the F word puts me off, I hate fish, though DH is quite keen). We are going to check out the menu and see what grabs us. Slightly ashamed to admit we have already eaten in MOST of the places on the list already...always up for trying new things though!

Mel, looking forward to hearing about Artists Point and Dine With Shamu on your return, THANKS!

Camac, great comments about the Dine with the Sharks. Will probably be booking this for sure now!

Thanks once again everyone!
Allie
