Hi, new here and really getting a lot of great information from all the informative posts. We're looking to rent a house for a week in May and starting to get confused regarding the best places to look. We had it narrowed down to some homes in Windsor Hills, but are now looking at homes in Reunion too. Anyone stayed at homes in Reunion during the past year or so and if so what did you think of that resort?

Is Reunion as close to Disney as Windsor Hills?

Also, what about Celebration, anyone rented a home there and if so, how close to the Disney parks is that one?

Thanks for any help!

I live across the street from Reunion. Figure an extra 5 minutes travel time than from Windsor Hills to WDW. Never stayed there, but driving by, it looks beautiful, if largely empty.

Not a lot over here (there is a Publix, couple pizza and Chinese joins, building a McDonalds), but you're not even 10 minutes from west 192, which has all manner of dining options.

We're at Reunion now - leaving tomorrow after having spent a week here.

The place we're renting is very nice - nicer than most places in Windsor Hills. It's slightly farther than WH...but 15-20 minutes door to door. (Remember that the Disney Property itself is huge, so at least half of that time, if not more, is spent on property, close-but-not-quite-there to the parks.

There are 7 pools avail for use here, plus a water park that some, but not all, rentals can access. The water park has food and drink service that isn't bad. It closes early though - 5 during the week and 6 on weekends. There are other restaurants here that are supposed to be good, although we never ate at them.

Feel free to PM me if you have other questions -

Thanks Jason and Erosenst, I appreciate the information.

I might go with Windsor Hills since I doubt we will have time to use the resort facilities at Reunion.

Erosenst, I do have a couple questions I'll PM you.

erosenst, I guess I can't currently PM you because I don't have 10 posts yet. I don't want to just post nothing just to get to 10 so later tonight as I read messages and have questions and finally get to 10 posts, I'll likely be able to PM you tomorrow.

I'll likely be able to PM you tomorrow.
Sorry - didn't look at your post count before I offered that. We got home tonight, and I'll be around all week - PM when you can ;).

Emily

erosenst, it turns out I don't have the need any longer to PM you about Reunion. We've decided to go with a home in Windsor Hills as it occurred to us we wouldn't have time this trip to take advantage of the resort facilitates at Reunion. Thanks so much for your helpful offer, I appreciate it!
