My kids like Toy Story , so I wanted to eat at Pizza Planet. But the more I think about it , I'm not sure? I don't want to get stuck in there with my ds wanting to play video games for ever, we can do that at home!
But i'm assuming the inside looks pretty neat?
What are your opinions on Pizza Planet?

Thanks

Not sure where you're staying at---but the pizza that you get is the exact same pizza that is served at the Value Resorts. Mediocre---edible is about how I'd describe it. We went to PP because my son LOVES LOVES LOVES Toy Story and just to say we went to it. I'm not much into arcade-type places, but I think PP had some really old type machines. Not many kids in there playing when we were there, but to get a seat outside to eat our pizza was awful! They need more seating definitely.

I'm not discouraging you to go there, I think every Toy Story fan should visit the place at least once. But once you get there, you realize, it's not that big of a deal really.

Have fun! :)

We love Pizza Planet. The pizzas weren't bad, and it's a fun atmosphere. When are you going? You may want them to play a couple of games, while you relax and cool off.

We only played 2 or 3 games, then went back out to the parks. Only cause DS10 loves air hockey.

My kids love it; it's a "must stop" for every trip. If you are worried about the token thing, make sure they eat all their food first, then give them x amount of $$ and tell them they can play til it's gone. Maybe plan an attraction that they want to see for afterwards so you can get them out easier.

(Also, maybe you could grab the pizza to go and then head to Fantasmic and eat it there for dinner?)

When we went last summer, the pizza seemed a little undercooked to me, but it was better on our trip in Nov. Kids insist that we go back to Pizza Planet on our trip this summer.

:wizard:

We ate there because our whole family loves Toy Story. We had a great time eating outside, then we went inside to cool off a bit. The pizza I thought wasn't bad. Plus with the DDP it came with a small salad. We enjoyed it and probably will go again when we return in August.

I had three teenagers with me last year and that had to eat there. What I did was I got in line while they went upstairs and waited for a table to open. They got a table and let 2 people sit down and eat before I got back with the food. So if you are going you might want to grab an early lunch there, maybe that will beat the crowds. If not sit down the rest of the family first while you go get in line for food. :thumbsup2

Ok, here's a super duper stupid question----is there an actual place to eat INSIDE? You said they went upstairs, did I miss seeing an upstairs?? All we saw were the tables outside.

Yes. The upstairs seating area overlooks the arcade.

As for the pizza, some else described it as "edible", which is exactly how I always describe it. If you live in an area with good pizza, Pizza Planet will probably be a letdown.

Tables to eat at upstairs

Learn something new everyday! I just remember walking in, getting into line and then parading outside to find a seat. I didn't even see a place to go upstairs. Maybe there's a different door or something that I missed?

That was me that said the pizza was just edible. The city where we live is ALL about pizza, so to me, theirs was just ketchup and cardboard. But hey, we were hungry and we ate it anyway! :) My son loved it, so that's all that counts.

There's a metal staircase that leads upstairs, right as you enter the arcade from the food area.

Never had a problem getting a seat up there...I guess many people don't know it exists. (Bathrooms up there as well.)

Thanks for the great opinions, And if I do decide on it, I now know about eating upstairs. Thanks. We will probably end up going!! :thumbsup2

We have eaten at PP 2 times. We don't plan it it just happens that we are there when we are hungry. Both times it was packed and tough to find a table. I don't remember to many people playing the games. It was a fun atmosphere. We ate at Backlot Express once at that was ok too.

I think a lot of people end up at PP for lunch because it's in such a prime location, right around Muppets 3D and Start Tours.

We enjoy Pizza Planet. We've found the pizza has gotten better over the years and for some reason those salads always hit the spot. We have never had trouble finding a table.
