Opinions on Pinocchio Village Haus and Columbia Harbor House

We ate at CHH for the first time on the last trip. We all loved it! The light sandwiches were a nice switch from the burgers and chicken strips (not that I don't like those). And my sister got the fish and chips and thought they were great as well. We'll definitely be back.

The tuna at CHH sounds PERFECT. A nice cold sandwich on a hot day is just what the doctor ordered.

I'm one of those weirdos that doesn't eat cheese (except on pizza), so the Figaro fries are out for me. Which reminds me - how's the pizza at Pinocchio's?

And I thought my DD was the only one!!! Grated cheese on macaroni & pizza cheese only :confused3

I always get the Panini <SP?> I can't imagine getting a cheesesteak anywhere outside of where I live Philly area :confused3 ....so I would never ever try it.

You got that right; I laugh when I see other places attempt a cheesesteak. But hey, that's what I have grown up on.

I think Columbia House is OK...I recall the fish & chips being OK and they used to have a clam chowder in a bread bowl that was fine.

Pinocchio House, I am only familiar with the Figaro fries which we all like a lot. It is often a snack we grab as we go through that area. I can't comment about anything else there.

Well, we have always eaten at CHH (turkey sandwich is awesome!) because we had eaten at PVH many years ago (the burgers) and really didn't care to go back, until now. Thank you for letting me know they changed the menu, sounds good.

We have not been to PVH but we love CHH. The clam chowder is good but as already mentioned the tuna sandwich is one of my favorite things at WDW. :) After discovering it on our last trip I made us go back for lunch on another day just so I could have it again.

Oh, yes, the tuna sandwich at CCH was really good. But, what I really look forward to at CHH is the sweet iced tea. To the best of my knowledge, this is the ONLY restaurant in WDW that serves sweet iced tea, which I think is the best thing ever on a really hot day. Cook's of Dublin, the fast-food fish place next to Raglan Road at DTD, also has sweet iced tea, but when I had it there last spring it wasn't quite as good as the tea at CHH.

When you say they are the only ones that have sweet tea (sorry I'm a northerner), do you mean that the other restaurants only have the unsweetened variety or they only have that horrible kind that isn't freshly brewed?

The other restaurants only have the unsweetened kind. The problem with unsweetened ice tea is when you try to add sweetener to cold tea, it just doesn't blend well. I also don't like lemon in my tea (if I want lemonade, I'll ask for lemonade). At CHH they usually put a lemon wedge on top of the iced tea, but I just ask for them to hold the lemon, or pull it off before it mixes with the tea. OK, so I'm picky about my tea, but the tea at CHH is soooooo good.

We arent fans of pinoccio, it was alright. But we loved Columbia harbor house, the Lighthouse sandwich is the best. On a hot day it is refreshing without weighing you down!

Just had to chime in, my step-dad is the same way. HATES cheese.. but loves pizza and lasagna... go figure!

My theory is that mozzarella cheese is the only kind of cheese that doesn't have a bitter quality about it. All other kinds of cheese taste bitter to me. I can't drink beer either. I've been told that my bitter taste buds are extra sensitive. :confused3 Mozz is really mild and doesn't taste like cheese to me.
