Opinions on our choices

Hi all you Disney pros!
We want your opinion on our Dining plans. Is there enough variety? What would you do different? We have a rental car (figured we would need it to go to resort restaurants) We are a family of 5: Me, DH, DD-16, DD-6, DD-4. We figured if we timed the meals right and ate big, we could get away with 2 meals plus snacks each day.

Saturday
AK: Early Lunch Tusker House
Early dinner at Chef Mickey's

Sunday
MK: late breakfast at CRT
Dinner at Whispering Canyon

Monday
Breakfast at resort (Pop)
Early dinner at Hollywood and Vine (fantasmic package)

Tues
MGM: lunch at 50's Primetime
evening at MK - Cosmic Rays?

Wed:
Lunch at Crystal Palace
dinner at the airport

Of your pick's my favorite is 50's Primetime I always enjoy the food and interaction you have with your server.I think you have some fine meals ahead of you,have fun and enjoy.

Look's like a great list of places to dine. We really love Whispering Canyon & 50's Primetime cafe, we ate at both last month and enjoyed them as usual. the only one that I would change would be Peco's Bill at the MK instead of Cosmic Rays. Peco's Bills is our favorite hamburger place at WDW, there fixins bar is great.

Your picks look yummy! Chef Mickey's is great fun, and your DD's will LOVE the magic at CRT (even the 16 year old - I'm 26 and really enjoyed being there on our TG trip). 50's Prime Time is lots of fun, too. Our group of 8 tried several different things on the menu and everyone enjoyed their meals.

I haven't eaten at the other places personally, but I'm betting you'll enjoy them.

Your choices look terriffic.........we usually only eat 2 sit-down or large meals a day. There's always mickey bars to hold us over till the next meal! My favorite restaurant at MGM is the brown derby and believe it or not the sci-fi!

Great picks! The only one I wouldn't do is Cosmic Ray's (went once and it didn't seem clean, for some reason!). Try Casey's for awesome hot dogs, Pecos Bills, or Columbia Harbor House for good food and peace and quiet! Or, since you are having good 'ol American food for lunch - go to the egg roll cart in Adventureland, followed by a Dole Whip - now, THAT's living!

Thanks for the great tips. Interesting about Cosmic Rays, I think it was the unofficial guide that gave that an OK review.

Where does one get the infamous Dole Whips? and what flavors do they come in?

The Dole Whips are over in Adventureland, too. And try Cosmic Rays if you want. They just might have been having a bad day when we were there!
