Could you please give your opinions on dinner at Ohana'. I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance :disrocks:

This was by far the best meal we have ever had on Disney Property. It was a lot of fun for the adults and my son who is 7yo. He was able to do the coconut race with a broom and the hula hoop contest :teeth: He thought it was best thing ever and we got some great pics. The food was very good. The beef was very tender. My husband and father loved the shrimp but we all found the pork to be a little tough. We spent the rest of the week trying to get another PS for our party to go again but could never get another one. Try it - I am sure you will love it like we did. it was also by far the busiest place we went to all week.

We LOVE O'Hana, wouldn't miss it! We were just there in April and are going back on our September trip for sure. We love the Poly but just bought at Disney Vacation Club so we won't have to pay $467/night every again! It has such a nice atmosphere! We love the food at O'Hana and the atmosphere. I don't think you would regret it! When we were poor graduate students and did cheap Disney trips, it was our one "nice" dinner out!

We had a great meal there last year, lots of food, def got our moneys worth in shrimp alone =)

Dittos ...

We enjoy it. My Father and Mother-in-law particularly like it. Its good if you like grilled meat. The side dishes are also good. I particularly love the Pineapple at the end with caramel dipping sauce... no need to buy dessert. Enough variety for all to find something to like.

Ask to be in the "main" room -- versus seated over on the side area when you walk in. We sat there once and felt "out of it".

I would recommend O'hana over the Luau --- better food - some atmosphere - not the same I grant you -- but I found Luau show to be a bit too much campy...

I recommend O'hana highly.

My Wife and I love Ohana's. But beware! Once it is in your blood you will never want to not go there when you are at Disney. It just seems as though it would be insane  for us not make that PS. We both enjoy this meal so much it is the first Dinner we eat the first night we arrive. We will be there this Sunday June 19th starting our magical vacation with some awesome food from Ohana's. While I thouroughly enjoy every part of this meal, the shrimp and the beef filet are taking center stage for us. But watch out the finale of pineapple and carmel dipping sauce starts making you ask when is our next trip. :earboy2: :moped: I think this a great place for anyone to try.

Happy Dining and get ready to loosen the belt!! :earsboy: :earsgirl:

We thought it was just okay. We loved the bread and salad/side dishes on the lazy susan, but were alittle disappointed in the meat (shrimp were great).
I think part of the problem was they seated us behind the firepit with a wall completely blocking our view of it. I would try it again but definitely get a table with a view of the firepit.

My family loves it. Last time, we told them we'd be happy to wait as long as necessary to get a table in the main dining room and we got an awesome window table with a view of the castle! Ask to be seated in the main dining area just so you're where the action is--the coconut races and the singing and the hula hooping. I love the shrimp wontons and the honey barbecue wings on the appetizer platter. The salad and green beans are excellent also. The waiter brought extra helping of those latter two items along with the whole appetizer platter also. Although I enjoy them greatly, we didn't touch the extras. Other items were more tasty. I enjoyed the beef which was cooked medium to medium rare, and the turkey. The meat was fine by itself, but the peanut dipping sauce really enhanced my enjoyment. I didn't care for the shrimp (although I usually love it) either this trip or the last. However, my husband loved it. Everyone like the fresh pineapple with caramel dipping sauce. Near the end of our meal we asked for extra peanut sauce, which we never received despite an extra entreaty. Also, a request for additional pineapple was met with reluctant acquiescence. Service was impeccable until near the end of our meal. I can only assume that the waiter was anxious for another 'tip' to sit at the table. We didn't let it bother us; it was our first night, we loved the food and we were in a great mood.

i went last week for dinner and the food was fantasmic, oh wait, fantastic! :rotfl2:

the steak and shrimp (a tad spicy) were the best in my opinion. the turkey and pork were excellent too. the appetizers/side dishes were all great, although i didnt try the salad. i was very satisfied with the meal, and the service was great too. this was the second best meal i had at disney world, aside from citricos at the GF.

and dont forget to try the ZOMBIE drink at the bar, wow that is good.

This is our favorite place for dinner at WDW. We love the atmosphere and food, probably the food more though. :teeth: I think the turkey and wontons are our favorite parts there.

Thanks for the great reviews! Now I'm REALLY glad we have a PS for next weekend. WooHoo! I'm hungry already!!! :sunny:

Been there several times, always have a nice time. The only negative: each and every time, the meat has been dry. The shrimp are more like prawns and I think are a little on the tough and overdone side. The atmosphere is great, the appetizers are wonderful. I would say it is a "must do" at least once.

Thanks everybody for your reviews. I am so excited to eat here after reading your reviews. We made PS's for our first night at Disney. Looking forward to it. Only 5 more weeks! Woo-hoo!! :cool1:

Love it! Great food, great drinks, and lots of fun for the kids.

My favorite restaurant!!! We always go our first night too - just starts our Disney trip off right.

My stepmom ordered dessert from the dessert menu, I did not. LOVED the pineapples with caramel dip!! I just ordered more of that, and the waitress brought me FOUR MORE! I was one happy pineapple eater!
