My family has been to WDW many many times but are bringing two young adult newbies in March. I'd like some feedback on the TS restaurants I have ADRs for keeping in mind I chose for unique, only at Disney, dining experiences. The only one new to me is WCC. I will be paying with DxDDP credits.
1.Tuttu Italia dinner ( has to be an Epcot pick this night and we only do this if we have DDP as it can be $$$$$ oop)
2.Sci-Fi ( 8 people sharing 4 deluxe credits for a very early lunch)
3. 'oHana dinner
4. Raglan Road dinner ( week of St . Patrick's day so should be fun)
5.Whispering Canyon Cafe ( never been. Looking for decent food and fun experience)
What do you think of my picks for all adults? I avoided character meals on purpose, not sure if they would go over well.....

I like 3 4 and 5 very much. should be fun for the group.
#2 - Sci Fi isn't the best set up for sharing unless you opt out of a car. If you are in a car, you'd be tight and probably only share between 2 at a time.
Tutta Italia isn't a fave for us so I won't be very much help here. Really depends on what everyone prefers.

I think 'Ohana is overrated, but many people love it and it's one of the most difficult ADRs to get on property. A dining plan expert will know--but can you share meals with others when you're on the plan? We only used a dining plan once many years ago, just thought I'd ask.

My DH and I just ate at Sci-Fi for the first time last week. LOVED the atmosphere but seating is not ideal for a large group. It is very dim and I could barely see my food. If you are with a group of 8, you will be split up in seats for 2 people and will all face forward. You might be able to get side-by-side cars. There are picnic tables in the back that seat 4 each. It is not a very easy atmosphere to carry on a conversation but is extremely unique!

Thanks. I added the Sci Fi only because we had 4 deluxe credits left over and DH and I had shared a credit there a few years and it was a lot of food. The 8 adults are 4 couples so that makes it a little easier.

Sci-fi is defenately unique to Disney, but I agree with PP on switching it to 50's primetime...another unique disney experience.
You should be able to sit together and the atmosphere is SO fun, and alot of food to share too.

Thanks. Both Sci-Fi and 50's are hard to get, especially for 8 people. I will keep trying, especially since I want to switch that lunch ADR to dinner.

I would second (third? fourth?) the idea of switching Sci-Fi to 50's.

Would you consider Via Napoli instead of Italia? Just a thought... we actually like both the food and atmosphere there better.

My only thinking on not switching to 50's would be that the OP also has WCC booked. Sci-Fi will give a completely different atmosphere and if it's couples sharing you should be fine.

Is WCC similar to 50's? None of us have been there.

Similar in that they both have antics going on with the CM's and both serve big American style meals. Add in O'Hana and you have a 3rd large food dining option out of the 5 ADR's (which is perfectly fine if that's what your group prefers.)

WCC is western themed and the CM's are known to horse around in good fun with the guests.
Heartier food is served - chicken/ribs/steak/trout, etc. check out the menu: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/d...e-resort/whispering-canyon-cafe/menus/dinner/.

50s Prime Time is themed like a 1950's kitchen with your server being one of the family having you dine at their kitchen table. They tend to zero in on picky eaters.
Comfort food is the main fare - meatloaf/fried chicken/ potroast etc. check out the menu: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/50s-prime-time-cafe/menus/dinner/

My thinking was Sci-Fi is so unique that it may be the better dining experience at the Studios given what you already had ADR's for.

We have only done Tutto, 'Ohana and Raglan Road and all 3 are must do for us.

1. I don't consider this to be so unique.
2. Very unique and I'd keep it for sure.
3. In my experience the service and quality here are very hit or miss.
4. Good idea and you can stay for some of the Irish tap dance show.
5. I like their lunch food better than their dinner food. You get a disk on the table which you can turn green side up for antics, or red side up for no antics. It may go most smoothly if your party can agree among yourselves in advance, whether to choose antics or no antics.

For another experience specific to Disney, I'd replace either Tutto Italia or Ohana with a character meal (even though you were going to skip those), unless the rest of the party says they prefer to avoid character meals. Garden Grill would be a unique atmosphere.

Thank you. I agree, Tuttu is not a unique experience. We chose it because 1. It has to be an Epcot restaurant 2. It is a family favorite that we only do when on DDP which we usually aren't 3. Garden Grill was a contender but I'm not sure how the characters will go over with adult newbies.

Did you ask the newbies their thoughts on this? Some adults really enjoy meeting characters, and it's one of the more uniquely Disney things to do.
