We're headed back to Disney in less than 3 months ( :Pinkbounc  :bounce: ) and this time we're bringing my 16yo BIL with us. It's his first time in Disney since he was I think 9yo, so there's a lot of new stuff since then, and he'll only be there for 3 days so we're trying to plan a loose itinerary so he gets the most out of the trip. We'll be there 4.5 days before he gets there and 1 day after he leaves, so I'm not worried about getting to do stuff that we want to, so we'd like to mostly plan around him those 3 days. Our only child is an 11 month old girl (who will be with us too), so our experience with teenage boys is limited. The only thing he said he absolutely wants to do is TT, from seeing it in commercials. (Which we'd do anyway cause my husband is a TT addict!)

So anyway, here's our planned itinerary and those of you with teens let me know what you think.

Fri: dinner at Boma after he arrives (we're at AKL)

Sat: AK in the morning for Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl, Safari, and Kali with 10:30 PS at Donald's (some before breakfast then finish after), then head to MK later in the day for Buzz, the mountains, POTC and anything else we can fit, then have dinner at Ohana's at 7 (though I might make that later, depending on park hours)

Sun: Epcot in the morning for TT, MS, and Maelstrom (and maybe a Soarin' preview!) then head to MGM for lunch at 50'sPTC at 11:15 (though I think I'll need to make that later, booked it before I made the schedule), then do RnRC, ToT, Indiana, GMR, Backlot Tour, and whatever else we have time for before dinner at Brown Derby (hopefully FDP, but right now the latest time is 3:40), then Fantasmic (we're moving to CR that day, but my either my husband or I will check us in, while the other takes BIL to the parks)

Mon
: 7am PS at Chef Mickey's then back to Epcot for more TT/MS, then head to MK and grab counter lunch and finish up anything he wants to see that we missed the 1st day before returning to CR so he can head to the airport around 7pm

So is this good for a teenage boy? We know he probably wouldn't care if he saw a character the whole trip (though maybe we're wrong, do teenage boys like characters?), but we know he will love the breakfast buffets which is our main reasoning for going. We don't usually take midday breaks (my daughter naps in her stroller or Baby Bjorn when we're there) so that won't be a problem. Are we missing anything that a 16yo really should see/do? He's a really easy going, agreeable kid, and he loves his little niece, so if we told him he would be riding Pooh with her all day he'd be fine with that, but I'm sure he'd rather be doing other stuff. Since our last 4 trips have been with a baby though, I've sorta lost track of what teens enjoy.

Judging by my DS15, sounds good. He also really likes Star Tours. Boys that age can ride the thrill rides over and over again, both my teens love MGM the best for the rides. They both were bored with Fantasmic though but liked the 3D type shows. It sounds like he'll have a blast :)
