I have a handheld one I got so I did not need to pull out my larger unit. A spray bottle and wet rag, or lysol wipes are better to me.
My larger unit is a Vapor 2000 I think it is called, looks like a canaster vacuum, The boiler unit is about a gallon, last for as long as I am cleaning. When I get it out I do the surfaces, bathrooms, kitchen, furniture, then the floors.
The high pressure and steam do not drip so much, I do wipe the the runs off the oven door, and wipe things off with the microfibor fleece clothes. I spray grease lightening from the dollar store around stove and cabinets in that area; exhaust hood, wall behind.....
On sale my unit was $299 free shipping all attachments. I have had it about 8 years. The hand held was a bissel from HSN, maybe $22.00. But no pressure, runs out of water fast, If I were doing a small job maybe I pull it out, like toys, or the bathroom fast....but I much prefer the larger unit. It cleans the rims on the car, blast under baseboard heat. The oven, trash cans.
I am disabled and it is much easier to use this for cleaning then any other means. Plus the temp and power means no scrubbing.
