Opinions on Glow with the Show ear hats?

I have read mixed things online - too heavy for kids etc. Anyone ever get these for Fantasmic? Were they worth it?

The kids got them the week they debuted at WDW. Lots of people wore them. They are heavy and cumbersome, but worked fine. Last year, hardly anyone had them on for the show. We did not pack ours for that trip. If you like them, get them, but don't expect to see a ton of them being worn.

I didn't buy them. But I found them annoying and distracting while I was trying to watch F!.
