Hello! Just wondering what cruisers' opinions were on the food of the rotational dining places on the Magic? How do you think it compares to the Fantasy and the Wonder? I have cruised those ships and thought the food quality/taste/looks was better on the Fantasy, IMHO. Thanks for any input!! :)

It's a crap shoot. A lot depends on the Executive Chef, and the prep team. One ship could have fantastic food, while another has only OK food. And then it could all switch.

Personally, I've found the food on all 4 ships to be fairly comparable in quality. That is, a few things are great, most things are fine, and a few things I'll never order again.

We cruised on the Fantasy and Magic in same year, and in our opinion food quality was roughly the same. Atmosphere-wise we liked the enchanted garden on the fantasy a little more than Cariocas on the Magic. Animator's Palate on the Fantasy was cooler for sure with Crush, but we also loved AP on the Magic especially when "nothing" was going on. We preferred the look of AP on the Magic. Luminaires and Royal Court were similar. Other than some differences in theming, food was on the same level. These are just our opinions though, I think everyone's opinions will very.

I've only been on one cruise - on the Magic - and I thought the food was fine. Not great but fine - good enough for me because I didn't have to cook it or clean up! But I'm comparing it against what I eat at home and order at restaurants at home and that's likely not a fair comparison. Plus there were a lot of foods I typically eat at home that I missed - such as a great salads and pizzas and Mexican and thai food, etc. Most of the food on our cruise was "continental" in style. Compared to the overall cruise industry I have no idea how the food stacked up.

I'd think that after about a week of eating it I'd be soooo ready for my own food. But I LOVED the cruise overall!

We were on the Magic in March and our opinion was the food was the best, yet. We have been on all of the ships except the Fantasy.

We have sailed on all four ships and have found the food quality on each ship to be quite comparable.

We have learned to heed the advice of our servers. The serving team knows what items are popular so we listen to them carefully and ask questions when in doubt.

We've been on all four ships multiple times. Food quality does vary from sailing to sailing but doesn't appear to be better/worse on any particular ship. Its pretty much just variations on what the head chef is doing at that time, the quality of the food suppliers and how the line cooks are feeling that day.

We've eaten the same meals on the Dream, Fantasy and Magic and didn't notice any difference.
