I was wondering what everyone thinks of the new ride. I am leaving to go to Disneyland in October, and I am wondering what your opinions are.

We really enjoyed it and were glad we did it. I think when we take DS he will love it. The only negative that I had was that I wished they did not use as much video stuff in it and that they had more "real" characters in the lagoon. I understand why they did what they did but I could tell they were video. DS won't know the difference however. I hope I am making sense...

We really liked it. I can't rate it, though.

But we were glad we went on it (decided at the last moment to NOT go to Fantasyland that EE, and veered off to Nemo, and were on very quickly), so much so that while DH and DS were napping at the hotel, my brother (up from San Diego for the day) and I waited in a supposed 60 minute line (actually ended up being 40 minutes) to ride it. And we both liked it!

Wanted to add that even though my 3 year old is brave, he can be skittish about unexpected things. So I found out the "spoilers" here, and told him about them, so I could talk quietly to him during the ride to let him know what to expect. Figured the lack of full-on surprise was better than risking a shriek when things popped "out" at him.

Finding Nemo wasn't my favorite Pixar movie. Just didn't do much for me. So I wasn't sure I would like the ride. However I was really surprised how much I liked the new submarine ride.

I thought it was very well done and actually liked it better than the movie - go figure! I am not exactly sure how they did the underwater "video/movie" parts but I thought it was great! And I also thought it was nice that it wasn't short, but long enough to have a theme/story and special effects - how did they do the lava flow? I wish I had asked a CM how they did the different special effects.

If it wasn't such a long line, I would have gone again. We did it first thing on an EE day. Thumbs up for me!

Btw, LOVED LOVED LOVED the Monsters, Inc. ride at DCA!!!!!!!!!!!

We rode Nemo on our trip Sept. 3-14 three different times. Our wait times varied from 25 minutes to about 1-1/4 hours. Even with long lines, I still loved it! I think there are 2 reasons I may rate it higher than some. First, I never saw the original so there is nothing else to compare it to. And, next, I am from the generation which has raised kids who are growing up watching Nemo. I thought that they did a very good job of making you feel like you were actually immersed in the story. Can't wait to ride it again next year!

i dont like the fact that the porthole is so dang small. and the seating is soo tiny too... :\

i was happy that when i rode it, there was about 10 of us... :)

Bumbershoot would you mind sharing the spoilers with me or tell me where I can find the link to them? I'm still not sure we will even convince DD to go on Nemo but if we do it would definitely help for her to know what's about to happen.
