So being that in 35 days Ill be at Disney with DF for the PS (:cool1:)..and we will be having out engagement shoot with Randy () now I'm thinking about what to wear. I had the most funniest convo with my mom today.

(we're on the phone)

mom: "where are you?"
me: "out looking for a dress for the engagement shoot"
mom: "o ok, nothing hoochie"
me: "mom i know that!"
mom: "ok, because your kids are going to see these pictures"
me: sigh
mom: "why dont you look at something a little professional"
me: laughing. "what! mom, this isnt for work or anything. i'm looking for something casual, cute, simple."

Is it just me, I know she is way off, imagine I show up to see Randy in a suit? :rotfl:...so, what did you wear? Did you go casual or semi dressy? I feel like I want to go casual, like a sun dress or something. Did you wear a dress? I havent seen anyone in shorts, but I have seen some brides in jeans. Were you hot? We'll be there in June and I feel like i'll sweat if I'm in jeans. :confused3
Also, if you have, can you post a pic? Im also trying to figure out at which resort I want to have the shoot. Thanks!

Also, if you have already done your shoot, and you have any tips or advice, please let me know! Is there a particular resort that is too crowded for shoots, etc. Thanks

I'm having the same trouble deciding, I've bought and returned a couple outfits! That being said I only have 12 days to decide!!! I think I'm going to go casual - dress jeans and a cute top - having trouble finding the top though.

I think you would look ridiculous in a suit. You'll be outside. In Florida. In 2010. :lmao:

I wouldn't wear jeans or shorts.

I would wear a nice sundress.

I had a honeymoon shoot in Epcot in June and my only advice would be to get your hair professionally done because mine was just a hot mess due to the humidity.

I think it's personal preference for attire. I debated about wearing a sundress or jeans with a dressier shirt. In the end I wore jeans with a nice shirt. I'm really glad I did too. I was comfortable and able to even climb a tree for one of the shots. You'll look amazing no matter what. The only thing I wish I did, was get my hair professional styled or blown out. I ran out of time that day to style my hair myself and my hair was limped after the first 30mins.

I wore a cute sundress and a cardigan bc it was actually cool in Miami the one day we choose to take pictures, lol. They came out very cute. They are in my PJ if you want to look.

oh moms! Lol, I think you would look a little silly in a suit. ;)

I wanted to look slightly dressed up but not super dressy. I found a nice sundress that I really liked and DF wore a polo shirt and khakis. The colors worked really well with the colors at the GF.

I thought about wearing a nice top and jean capris but I couldn't find a top I liked. I know some girls even change outfits, so that's an option too.

I won't be getting the cd until I get my wedding pics, but here's the blog post with our epics, there's also a link in my PJ to our guestbook with some more e-pics.

We did them last June, during the heat wave. It was crazy hot even around 6 pm which is when we did the pictures. I would definitely recommend getting your make-up done, there's no way my regular make-up would have lasted.

I wore a dress from Vicki's but had to wear black pants underneath because it was pretty cold down there this past December! I wouldn't wear jeans in July. I didn't even wear jeans except at night during our wedding trip last week. Even when it rains in July, it's still warm. :) We had our shoot around the Boardwalk. We started at the Y.C. and then went around to the right. :)

I wore a dress I had purchased at David's Bridal. It was actually a bridesmaid dress but I loved it when I saw it there. My DH wore tan dockers and a black Disney polo with Mickey on it and I had Groom embroided on it.

Our photos were taken at the WL and the Poly. We had them done in May of 2008 and Misty was our photographer. She suggested getting together late in the afternoon so she could get some sunset pictures.

That morning I had Ana and Lily do my hair and makeup trial.

Later that week, we did a photoshoot with a Disney Photographer at the GF. These pictures came out nice also but I really loved having my hair and makeup done for the engagement shoot.

I wore a dress but also changed into jeans and a polo so we could do some casual shots as well. I think it is good to have 1 formal outfit and 1 casual.

I would suggest scheduling your shoot for late afternoon to early evening. I had mine at high noon due to rescheduling and the lighting wasn't the best, it made me look a little washed out in some shots. Plus I needed pool towels bc of the sweat!! I would have paid more attention to weather and lighting.

I would also suggest wearing color if possible, I like the way it makes pictures pop. All beige isn't as interesting unless you have a colorful background that is beautiful as your focal point.

Hi Lulu, we're scheduled to shoot in June at 5:30pm. At first I was concerned, like, does it get dark early, will it still be warm, etc; and then I remembered "its Disney" :) lol.

You totally just reassured me. We're shooting our engagement pictures the first week of June but at 5:30, I was a bit concerned about the weather and lighting, but yours looks awesome, so now Im cool with it :thumbsup2

Thanks! Glad to help :goodvibes. Usually in June it's not quite that hot, it was really unusual last year but we were still fine. Later on in the day is better too.

That day there it was raining right before our pics and it looked like it might rain again, but the weather held out. We were supposed to have pics at both the Poly and GF but since we weren't sure about the weather just stuck with the GF.
