We're staying at WL in July and thought restaurant might be a possibility for us, being just a short boatride away (and the menu looks good). It's not a restaurant I've read too much about and wonder if anyone has dined here recently and how would you rate the food and service?

we stayed at the cr last oct and did eat at the concourse steak house. we didnt think it was anything special. it is just a restaurant not a steakhouse like shulas or yahtsman. now if you want a great meal at the cr go to the california grill that was one of the best meals we had on our trip. :earboy2: i wouldnt make a special trip for the concourse i would though for chef mickeys or the california grill.

We think it's pretty good. I agree that it isn't to the level of Le Cellier, Yachtsman, or Shula's, but they have some good food at Concourse and it's fun to watch the monorail roll through the CR. :earsboy:

We also think it is pretty good--its not as good as LeCellier or CG, but the food is well prepared and the service is very good. From a food standpoint, it is one of the better restaurants at Disney, and is certainly better than Chef Mickeys (which is certainly lots of fun if you want a character meal, but leaves a bit to be desired for food quality).

I just wanted to add one more thought: So many of the meals at WDW are an "event". While I love this aspect of Disney dining as much as the next person, sometimes it's nice to get a meal and just chill out without the "excitement" of characters or some other entertainment. Many times we do the Concourse Steakhouse on our arrival day. After the rigors of traveling half way across the U.S. and checking into the hotel, it's a nice way to start a Disney trip. Sorry for posting twice.

I thought it was fine though not outstanding. The service was great but the atmosphere was no big deal, but then again I was sitting in a small booth under the monorail beam and didn't have a great view. The Filet was good as were the vegiies and salad. The bread was awesome as was the capuccino parfait!!! I would not make a special trip to eat here but would not avoid it if I were staying nearby. I to was staying at the WL and took the boat. The outing was nice.

I have to agree with the other posters, the meal was good, yet not great. There were 12 that went, and the service was right on. The kids enjoyed the monorail going by all the time. So that seemed to help out with the wait time. I have to say that the noise level was louder than I thought with CM being right next door. But we did have a nice dinner and then went out on the balcony to enjoy the MK fireworks. Hope this helps.

By the way, we were also at WL and took the boat over. It was nice.

It's really an above-average hotel coffee shop with "steakhouse" added for class (and the cuts of meat are better than you'd find at your average coffee shop).

I prefer it for lunch. The burgers and french onion soup are fantastic.

For the price it is good. I actually like it better than the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the YC. Sorry, but it was too snobby and way over priced there. We eat at the Concourse Steakhouse every trip. I can honestly say that I never had a bad meal there. We have priority seating for March. Can't wait to go back!

We loved our breakfast there.

The food is good (not great) at the Concourse Steakhouse. I would suggest them for breakfast, the menu was great then.

For dinner, I much prefer California Grille (or for an actual steakhouse, Shula's or Yachtman's Steakhouse).

Amen! I thought we were the only ones in the universe who disliked the Yachtsman!

I have eaten there 3 times and each time the food and service were good. :flower:
