Just wondering how the food is. It will be family of three not picky eaters.

We like the food. Relatively authentic (for Disney) German food, with enough Americanized food to keep all but the pickiest eaters satisfied. And the beer is wunderbar.

My DH had German grandparents and he says it is relatively authentic (he loves it!). I like it, never have trouble finding something I enjoy eating (the cheesecake is lovely, especially). And, yes, the beer is delicious.

NOTE: Seating is on long beer-hall tables, so other families will be seated with you.
Though WDW likes to Americanize its food, Biergarten remains authentic. Good & above
average German comfort food. This helps when trying to accommodate those picky eaters
in your family. The "beer hall style" tables mostly have 8-seats, but, there are 3-seat
and 4-seat tables along the upper mezzanine wall. In all cases, tables are pretty close
to each other, thus access is tight when standing up. There are minor differences in
food from lunch to dinner. Even "picky people" and kids seem to find items to eat.
.
NOTE2: There is entertainment at both lunch an dinner. However, the dinner "shows"
seem longer with more audience participation. Great for adults AND KIDDIES.
Show Times are daily at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00, 8:05pm.

DH grew up in Germany. Although it is "Americanized" the food is pretty good and the beer selection is very good. I'm not a fan of sitting with other people at a table, but the dance floor is a great place for the kids to get their wiggles out.

we were there on Sunday night and they changed a few things that I was disappointed in...I loved the potato leek soup and they put in cream of asparagus...not my favorite..they also got rid of the salmon and put in mustard sauce over cod...but most of the food was not bad...I probably wont go on our next trek to the House of the Mouse...probably find another place.

The atmosphere is great but we found the food to be lacking a bit. The beer on the other hand......

I grew up with my German grandparents and it reminds me of that. The food is consistently good, not spectacular, but fairly authentic. Combined with the atmosphere and entertainment (and beer), we like it a lot.

The beer is good .Festive atmosphere but I don't like to seated shoulder to shoulder with people I don't know.
Food? I can get better food in Costco for less money. For authentic German food go outside WDW.

We absolutely LOVE Biergarten and go every trip. The food is really good and it's the only buffet I've ever eaten at where I enjoy everything I try. I've never been to Germany but I sat with a couple last year who lived there for 8 years and they said it was very much like the real thing. We were just there last week and we find ourselves always wishing we could squeeze in more than one visit per trip.

We do enjoy sitting with others in the community seating arrangement and we love the entertainment as well. The kids always enjoy getting up to dance. But probably even bigger than all those things for us is that the chefs here are always fabulous with our kids and their food allergies. Most of the foods are quite simple with simple ingredients which is also great when you have kids with multiple allergies.

DBF really liked it- went up for seconds and thirds maybe? ;) we went two years ago for lunch. I'm a picky eater not very adventurous but I will say there was a large selection of food, lots to sample

For some reason, the food seems to get better as the meal goes on. Could have something to do with that liter mug of beer ;)

I love it, because I love German food. My wife doesn't like it as much, but can always find things she does like.

We thought the food was decent, not great. It was a huge selection though. We are not beer drinkers, so that wasn't part of the meal for us. Sadly, the family we sat with refused to even acknowledge us, so that threw a bit of awkwardness in the deal. We wont be going back.

We love Biergarten and tend to go most trips! Good selection. Nice beers and wine flights. And if you happen to hit on a night they have their cheddar beer soup - YUMMMMMM!!!
I was NOT a fan of the creamy asparagus soup though, it tasted like baby food.

We live in Germany and it's pretty authentic. Just about every time we go out to eat here the kids make comments about how this is just like Disney! LOL

Since I see the beer mentioned as the reason people enjoy the food, I just want to go on record as saying I don't drink and still love the food, lol.
