Opinions on a Mini Golf Course or Disney Quest?

I have never been to any one of them. If anyone has, please let me know what you think & if it's worth it to spend some time there. I know there are two mini golf courses on property which stay open until 11pm & Disney Quest is open until 10:30pm. I am hoping we could fit one in before or after a day at Epcot next week for F&G.

TIA! :)

I really like the Disney mini golf course. It's tough but a lot of fun. I think it's right near downtown Disney. Disney quest is mostly just video games.

We have tried Fantasia Gardens and both courses at WinterSummerland. All three in our opinion are worth trying at least once. Our family prefers the WinterSummerland courses, but all three are themed really well.

As for DisneyQuest, we have been there twice. It's OK. If you have the waterparks and more option tickets, I would say give it a try, but there is no way I would pay the walk up rate. It is WAY over priced for what is inside. You can have fun, and there are a few neat things, but there is nothing in there that will WOW you.

If I had to choose between the two, I would go do mini-golf, but that is just my personal preference.

You will have fun at either, but if your paying full price at DisneyQuest, you may come out disappointed in what you got for your money.

Done both and they are ok. I liked mini golf better. Quest did have skee ball

We loved WinterSummerland -- both of the sides of this course are so beautifully planned and there are lots of hidden Mickeys to find. We preferred WinterSummerland to Fantasia.

But we also loved DisneyQuest and are great fans of it. Last trip we manged to go after lunch or dinner Downtown for a couple of hours at the most a few times (we had the waterparks and more option) and enjoyed the rides/videogames. There's something for everybody there - the Pirates of the Carribean Ride, raft ride, video games (some that are really old and we haven't seen in a while), the pinball machine game where you are the pinball...But it will get crowded on the weekends.

In any case, whatever you choose, you will have fun!

I would say WinterSummerland, Quest, Fantasia golf in that order.

My wife and I have done both. I think we prefer the Mini Golf.

Disney Quest was really fun the first time. Less so the second. We went when we had the Water Parks and More option. Not sure we would pay the street price. They have a mix of things to do there but some may not feel they get a good value. The mix of things to do and the mystery aspect of what you get inside can make it a gamble.

The golf on the other hand is a known quantity. You know what you will get. We enjoyed the Winter/Summerland courses the most. Lots of fun and great to take pictures. We also enjoyed Fantasia, it is the more standard putting course.

I like the fairways miniature golf. Really challenging and pros are known to go there and practice their putting skills

There is one thing at Disney Quest that makes it a must-do for me: Pirates of the Caribbean: Quest for Buccaneer Gold! It's a 3D game projected on the walls of a room where you stand on the moving deck of a pirate ship and everyone has a cannon and one person steers. It is AWESOME!

Honestly, the rest of DQ could use some sprucing up. I also love the floor of vintage arcade games, but sometimes they are not in great working order. They also have the Fix-It Felix game, which is pretty neat.

Would most definitely pick mini golf over Disney Quest, though it obviously depends upon the weather. Disney Quest was horrible. Very dark, crowded, claustrophobic. Have done once, never again.

Just to clarify: Disney Quest, which I'm sure you're talking about is in DTD. The 2 mini golfs are in 2 different locations...1 Winter Summerland is right next to Blizzard Beach, & the other is near the Swan & Dolphin/ BW area....

Your picture shows both courses... I know it's been a while since I played at Fanatsia Gardens, but, I remember it being set more like a real golf course. Looking at your pics, it looks totally different from what I remember it to be....Is this the case.

Just to clarify...Fantasia Gardens has two courses. One is the standard mini golf course (pictured in Figment's post above) that is the "silly" golf that you'd expect. It's Disney themed with windmills/characters/etc. The other course there is called Fantasia Fairways...and unless you're a hardcore golfer with a good short game I would not recommend it for fun. I'm a 4 handicap, and I found my ball taking crazy slopes and ending up in sand traps/water hazards/etc. It was frustrating.

This is helpful! I'm not a huge golfer, but that will be fun to do when taking my family.

That's the one 1 I remembered . Thanks. I did this one Waaay back in 97" on our Honeymoon...:crazy2: LoL & I do recall it being very difficult to keep the ball on the course...
I may have to try the other one this summer, with the kids and family... Thanks again.:thumbsup2

I always have fun at mini-golf so I'd recommend trying it out. I have never been to Disneyquest but have heard from many that it is a bit of a let down in need of a refurb.

If planning disney quest on a Saturday in June, is there a best time of day to go? First thing in the morning?

Wow! Thanks so much everyone for your input! :D I will take it all into consideration.
