Opinions on #7509?

Hi,
I just received my itinerary for our 2005 Land/Sea cruise. I noticed that we are booked for a cat.10 #7509. I'm just wondering if anyone has stayed in this area before? It looks close to the end of the ship and I heard that the middle is better as far as motion? I'm concerned about my 3 year old. Also I looked at a floor plan and it doesn't appear that it will sleep 4. There will be 3 adults as well as my 3 year old, just wondering if we'll all fit? Thanks!

7509 definately sleeps up to 4 it is at the front of the ship you'll all fit it , can't help about the seasickness bit though. sorry

We were in 7005, which is 2 rooms closer to the front on the opposite side of the ship. I really love the location!

You are under the bridge, so it's very quiet, and on a dead end hallway, so the only people walking by your room will be those in rooms 7500-7508. You take two short flights of stairs to deck 9 with all the outdoor fun and food. Only two flights between you and the kids clubs. You're 3 flights straight above the main theater , and 4 above the club area. We took the stairs everywhere (in case you didn't guess), but the forward elevators are less crowded than mid-ship as well. DCL wouldn't have booked you in that cabin if it didn't sleep 4.

I didn't find the location to be any more or less prone to sea-sickness. On the Wonder, you really don't move very fast, since the distances are relatively close. The times I felt the ship moving most where when we were travelling fast.

You didn't say if you were on the Wonder or the Magic. But I would speculate that they are both the same. I have never been on the Magic and just had my first cruise.

I was in room 7501 on Wonder on May 16th for a 4 day cruise. On that first day you can feel the ship moving because they speed it to Nassau. I have heard so many people on this board say that you can't feel it. But boy did we feel it (it was my mother's 4th Disney Cruise and she always felt it the first day) In bed it flipped me over to the other side. Plus while walking through the halls I have felt it. Even in the center of the ship. I would not advise booking a Palo reservation for the first day on a 4 day cruise. We did and I got sick even though I have taken Bonnie for 3 days straight prior to the cruise (arrived at Florida before the cruise). Our waiter said he hates the first day because of the high speed. (BTW, do not order the seafood soup from Palo. Extremely salty. And I am not a finky eater at all. After I left the waiter had told my mother that I should not have order the seafood soup if I was seasick. She told him (which was true) that I was fine till I arrived at Palo (10th floor back of ship).

In regards to sleeping 4 I think you can. I slept in the bed with my mother (wide enough for us to be on opposite ends), there is a couch and a pull down bed from the ceiling over the couch. Plus we had two bathrooms (one with sink and shower and the other with sink and toilet).

What is cool for that area is that when you have to go to deck 4 with your life jackets you get to go through the crew area. Plus I have seen the captain come and go a few times through that area.

The laundry room is little bit of a walk from the cabin but okay.

Also you can take an elevator or use the stairs (really the stairs are not that bad) to go up two flights for the Walt Disney Theater to see the show.

Go to Disney Cruise Line website and order the DVD. It comes with an active map you can scroll through. Much better than the VHS tape. If you don't have a DVD then this is a good excuse to buy one.
