I have ressies for Le Cellier for the day we will be going to MNSSHP. The plan was to go to Epcot, eat lunch there, head back to the resort to shower/change/nap/swim/whatever then head over to MK for the party. I am wondering if we should just have CS (either at Epcot or the resort) and then schedule a TS for the MK right before the party. What would you do? I know it would be too much to do 2 sit down meals, lunch and dinner that day. Do you really think LeCellier is worth it????

If it were me I'd keep the TS for lunch and wing it for dinner ... that's what we're doing anyway. We have lunch ressies at Coral Reef then plan to to do counter service (hopefully Columbia House) while we're at MNSSHP.
:thumbsup2

Our ressies are for 5:30pm. The day of we are planning to go to the Waterpark or DTD.

Stick with your plan. I wouldn't want to risk the chance of getting help up at a TS and missing any of the party.

I would not go to a water park on the day of a party.... That will make for a very long day/night...There is so much to do at the party and you don't want to end up having to leave because you are exhusted...Water parks tend to take your energy....

We have been to a few parties and we always do a late breakfast, then go to Downtown for a few hours and a snack...Then back to the resort....Then off dinner at the MK (the GF works too)... That has worked well for us.

Lunch at LeCellier sounds like a great plan. :wizard: Go back to your resort and rest up for the night. Eat lunch early and grab a early CS for dinner either at resort or MK. Please don't do a TS for dinner before your party. We made this mistake once and will never do that again. It ended up taking up some of our party time.

we will probably only stay for a couple of hours and leave. We have plans to go to DTD to do the BBB for the Hanna Montana package! Should we not do the 1900 Park Fare before the party? I thought we would be done by 7pm.

This will be our first time at MNSSHP, what we decided for us was sleep in that day relax a little, then arrive at 4pm when they allow for MNSSHP guests. We have dinner ressies at crystal palace at 530pm, and then enjoy the park. Sleeping in will allow us to stay late and enjoy the parade and fire works. You need to do what is best for your family.

We did both TS dinners and lunches before going to MNSSHP parties and I always felt too rushed. Last year when we went to Pirates and Princesses we spent the day at our resort pool and went over to the party at 4. We had CS at Cosmic Rays before the park closed for the party. Relaxing during the day and just doing CS helped make this event the best one that we ever attended.

This is what we're doing, except at Tony's, not CP.

we have 'Ohana at 5 the night of the party... we will be in Epcot in the morning (it is the early open park all we want to do is Soarin and Test Track then leave) then we are just doing the pool and resting ... getting dressed for the party then 'Ohana (our costumes are not all that weird to eat in ... I mean ok it will be September and if people don't know there is a Halloween party that night we MAY look odd but we really aren't a family that cares) :dance3:

I would recommend making an earlier ADR... We like to be done eating before 6:00... It is very nice to be in the park and done eating way before 7:00 for a few reasons:

1) No reason to wait on a line to get into the party, when you can arrive as early as 4:00.
2) Most of the rides will have short lines between 6:00-7:00 because people are leaving that are not staying for the party, other people are just getting there for the party, many are eating, and on some nights there is a Wishes at 6:00 or 6:30 before the non-party people need to exist the park.
3)You don't want to be coming in at the same time there is the mass exist out of non-party guests... It can be a pain to get through the crowds that are leaving.

*For these reasons we usually eat dinner around 4:30... Yes it is early, but we always have a snack as we are waiting in our spots for the parade to begin.

get into the MK as early as 4pm? I thought you could not get in until 7pm
Thanks

That sounds like a great plan. We will probably do something similer when we are there in October. I think you will really enjoy Le Cellier.

Nope... The special event ticket gets you into the park at 4:00...There is a section of entrance gates just for the party...They will check your ticket, give you a band, and a map all right at the front gate at 4:00... The party still starts at 7:00 but they let you in a few hours early....

To me this is what makes the parties worth it... You get in the park for half the day for more than half the price.

In 2006, we ate at Kona before MNSSHP. In 2007, we ate at Kona before MVMCP. This year, we are eating at 1900 Park Fare before MNSSHP. We made them for 5pm and still have plenty of time to get to the party.

:confused3 I am up in the air about this one, the first year we at counter service at peco bills during the party. Last year we had 4:30 ADR's for Liberty Tree and we loved it, the food was delish and the characters were awesome. I was planning Liberty Tree again but I may try a different ADR maybe Crystal Palace or something not sure..

You will be okay if you leave Epcot right after lunch and plan to do nothing else before the party...Le Cellier is a nice place and is a great experience to have...But as I explained to another poster earlier, you have a long night ahead of you and don't want to get to exhusted early...If you are having a big lunch, you shoud still try to eat dinner in the MK between 5:00-6:00 (TS or sit-down)...You are likely better off with a counter meal... But only you know best how much you can all eat.

This is exactly what we did for the Christmas Party back in 2006 and for the P&P Party this past January... We ate at LTT around 4:15/4:30 and we loved it....The character interaction is great, the atmosphere is wonderful and the food is good... We like that we can order chicken tenders for the kids (they are really yummy).... I agree that it is nice to try something new but we are also believers in going with what you know...We really like the LTT and since you know you do too, it might be worth doing it again... We did the Peco Bills before the party in October and we did like that it was quick and easy but it wasn't special and for us a party night is supposed to be special.

We don't plan on doing a park the day we do MNSSHP. We have breakfast scheduled at Boma's and lunch at Mara's and really just enjoying the day at AKV. I hope to get to MK by 4:00 and have a CS there before the party. I don't want to risk not being able to make it to MK early by doing a TS
