Would love to hear the opinions of anyone who has been to this new mall, I think that is what it's called! How does it compare to Florida Mall, Premium Outlets etc?And where exactly is it in relation to WDW?
Thanks

Hi Debs Hill!:sunny:

We haven't been to this mall yet either but we sure will be in March when we visit Florida! It really sounds terrific and I would also love to hear everyone elses opnion on it too.:)

Here's the link to this Mall site and boy it really is a big one!;)

Mall at Millenia has some great dining options...

P F Changs- is a trendy chineese restaurant with a modern and innovative menu.

Cheescake Factory - not only has some of the best desserts around, but a diverse menu with large portions.

Brios - is an italian restaurant with a very lively bar area. A great place to have a few drinks..

Although I have not been to the rest, these restaurants at the mall are also popular: California Pizza Kitchen as well as McCormick & Schmidts

Bon Appetite!

Exit 78 off I4 I believe.......we were there a couple of days after it opened, not my cup of tea I must say:( It's full of the sort of shops that look as if they have nothing inside, know what I mean? With people that greet you at the door, i just love a good old browse.....a bit too posh for us, but each to their own.

I love the Florida mall, but where did the Warners shop go? I'm very interested in anything "Wizard of Oz" and that was a great place for me.

No Warner Bros at Florida Mall now? Thanks for the warning, we had planned to go to Florida Mall next year, mainly for Warner Bros. May have to change our plans now.

There is on at Orlando International Airport but that isn't much use for anyone flying to Sanford.

Glad to be of help, we flew into Sandford. Let me know if you hear of another Warners Location please:Pinkbounc

Are ANY still open? This was from "Business Week" in 2001 -

WARNER BROS. RETAIL STORES TO CLOSE: AOL Time Warner Inc. will close its Warner Bros. retail stores, eliminating 3,800 jobs, by year-end after the biggest media and entertainment company failed to find a buyer for the chain. Most of the 120 stores will be closed by the end of October, a spokeswoman said.

Someone let us know!

There is an FAQ on web-site I recently found www.WBShop.com:

What is the status of the Warner Bros. Studio Stores? All Warner Bros. Studio Stores are closed, and there is no longer a Warner Bros. Studio Store catalog. With our merchandising and retail partners, we continue to build some of the strongest brands in the world Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, The Powerpuff Girls", Batman", Superman", Harry Potter" and more a vast array of products for which can be found at leading retailers across the country. We hope you will find the items you are looking for on WBShop.com, and if not, please let us know what you are looking for as we are constantly expanding our product selection.

We will be visiting this January. We are arriving on a Saturday and going to parks Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (No AK). We have Wednesday and Thursday free but I am wondering what we should do.

One of the days I am thinking we can just spend relaxing at the vacation home and also going to Downtown Disney.

But the other day I am clueless. Not really sure if we want to go to the mall. Is there anything fun to see/do in Orlando. Nothing too pricey either, the cheaper the better!

Thanks,
Matt

We got back a month ago and I'm already planning our next trip in 2003.:Pinkbounc I was just telling my husband that we have to go to the Millenia mall and told him about all the stores in the mall that we have to visit. And he asked me how did I hear about the mall and all I said was Duhh!! and he said don't tell me,you read about it at the boards...Yeah!!!...hehehe....I love reading the boards!!...:p

We did the Mall at Mellenia when we were down for a visit last weekend, and it is amazing!!
We did some browsing, and a bit of buying- I looked at two different pairs of earrings at Cartier, and they let me try them on!!
They also had one of those 'gazillionaire' type engagement rings that I probably could have drooled on while I tried it on... but I lost my nerve!!
Looked in the windows at Tiffany's too, they have a diamond necklace in one of their windows that is just too gorgeous for words.
The mall is upscale, but the clerks that I dealt with were really nice and not snooty at all.
One of the clerks in a shop that I purchased at even told me that I get a discount with the charge card I used! She didn't have to tell me that, because we had no idea! As you can tell, I'll probably shop there again....

I love the new Mall, although parking was a bit of a problem when it first opened. We were there during Thanksgiving. There are a lot of high end specialty stores but the department stores had great selections and reasonable prices. We shopped on the busiest shopping day of the year and at times I forgot I was in a huge mall because of the waterfountain displays, sitting areas with couches and glass ceilings. Best of all no kiosks, so you can browse at your leisure.

We ate there several nights the Cheescake Factory was a hit with the kids, PF CHangs was great (try the lettuce wraps) and Glen and I loved McCormick & Schmicks. The mall has valet parking for $5 and it is located near the restaurants. Anyone going to the mall can use it, and if they haven't resolved the parking I highly recommend it.

Here's a link to an article on ten things to do in Orlando that cost under $10:

http://www.theotherorlando.com/updates/under10.html

Of the ones listed, I'd recommend the Scenic Boat Tour (one of my very favorite things to do) and the Morse Museum in Winter Park. Winter Park's a neat place to visit and there are some other free or low cost things to do there, as well a great shopping (along Park Avenue) and some good restaurants.

There's plenty more cheap stuff to do beyond what's listed in the article, too.

We visited the Mall at Millenia over Thanksgiving holiday and I was so impressed! The parking was ample and we never felt crowded in the mall. There's lots of wide open space and it is architecturally beautiful! The stores are great! It was really hard to come home and go to our malls!

How far away is this mall from the Downtown Disney hotels? How much would a cab ride be? Sounds like it might be worth a visit ... at least during one of our non-park days :p
