Hi! We're staying at Wilderness Lodge this December, and I'm wondering if anyone would mind posting your thoughts about this counter service restaurant?

I just read the menu on allearsnet and it looks really good. Is it as good as it sounds?

TIA

We stayed there last year in Dec. and we ate almost every day at Roaring Fork. For breakfast DH and DD8 ate the breakfast platter or the kids platter, and they said it was good. DD10 and I usually just ate a muffin or oatmeal and they were wonderful. They have great deli sandwiches, particularly the roastbeef and blue cheese. DH said the burgers were typical. The only drawback I saw was that the seating was extremely limited. There were mornings where we had to wait for a table or we carried it back to the room to eat.

We love their hamburgers and fries but have not had anything that we really didn't like.

I noticed, and agree with this opinion 100%! Roaring Forks needs MUCH MORE seating. During most of our stay we waited 15-20 minutes for a table... :sad2:

Duly noted, thank you. We'll keep that in mind.

I'm glad that the food is good, even if the seating arrangements aren't so great.

Agree that seating can be a problem at peak hours but we were always able to get a table. There is seating outside by the pool as well.

We have liked everything that we have had there. Great for a quick breakfast and the sandwiches and other hot lunch/dinner items are all good. You are sure to like it! They are fast and good!!

Be sure to pick up a refill mug. Great for grabbing a drink any time of the day!

We loved it! We ate their twice last trip. I had the turkey and cheddar sandwich (like a muffaletta) one day and the cheese flatbread pizza the second day we ate their. DH had chicken strips and a bacon cheeseburger and loved both.
