Opinions needed - To cancel or not to cancel...

The Frozen Holiday Premium Package.

I'm really torn on whether to keep or cancel our reservations for the Frozen Premium package on Dec. 22. I have a 6-year-old kiddo who is crazy for Frozen, but she is not aware of the package or dessert party yet. In addition to the package, we also have sing-a-long FP+ on Dec. 27 and we have secured the all-important Anna and Elsa FP+.

Downside: It’s more than the cost of breakfast at the castle, and we don’t even get a meet and greet out of it. If we were going at any time other than Christmas, I’d cancel the reservation, as just being too darned expensive for what you get. For $237, we’ll get 3 pins and lithographs, unlimited Frozen-themed desserts, and reserved seating for the sing a long and the Christmas lights. Alcohol is a moot point, since hubby and I don't drink. Kiddo is a pin collector, however. In comparison, breakfast at the castle is about $150, and the Magic Kingdom dessert party is $72 for all 3 of us, combined.

Upside: Since we will be there at Christmas, it may well be worth the money just to have the reserved seating area for the Christmas lights. And I’m sure the kiddo will love the desserts and pins.

So... opinions? Keep or cancel? Reasons?

I voted to cancel. I almost secured a reservation until I saw the price tag! Ridiculous! Since you already have the FP I wouldn't pay that much extra for deserts. We have an ADR for the desert party at MK and it cost a fraction of what they are charging for the party at HS. I love the movie Frozen, my daughter loved it, we all love it! But, Disney is taking it WAY out of proportion! And this is but I don't like the idea of Frozen at MK either during the lighting of the castle! Ridiculous!

Cancel. IMHO, there is zero value in this package. For so much less you can get a singalong FP+, buy some Frozen treats, buy your daughter a pin and walk around to see the lights. In all honesty, this is the worst package I've seen Disney come out with. If there had been an A&E meet & greet, maybe. I would save your money.

I voted for cancel. There is nothing included that is worth that price. Enjoy your trip.

I voted to cancel, primarily because of this:

It's best to view the Osborne Lights by strolling through the Streets.

You already have FP+ for the singalong, and you will have to walk through the Lights anyway to really see them. So, at that point, what you are getting is dessert.

To put this advice in context: I bought the Illuminations dessert party for us for Christmas week, even though two of us are under-age and can't drink. Finding a good spot for Illuminations during busy times means camping out in a spot as much as an hour early, and all the jostling that happens as the space fills in really bugs me. So, it's not like I won't pay for these experiences at all. But, of the lot of them, the Frozen one seems the least compelling.
