Hey everyone!.....I know, I know, long time no post!

Hope everyone is doing well!

I have a situation.

Oct. VS. Nov.

All my life we have taken our trips to WDW in Oct....
With the MNSSHP and IFAWF it is too crowded for our taste so we were thinking about going in November this year assuming it wont be as busy as Oct. Its been a mixed bag with the weather in November... some family members went last Nov and said the weather was very cool...we are big pool and waterpark folk being New England residents so the temp is a big factor! lol

As I have always valued the opinions on this board, I would love some feadback....pros and cons....ect

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

ps. We own at SSR and although we wouldnt mind staying there, we love staying at VWL ... im pretty sure we have no shot other then home resort for october .... are the odds better in Nov????

Have a great day all!

I'm from Ohio and we were down for Thanksgiving and it was chilly, bordering on cold at night. I wouldn't have gone in the pool at SSR, but people were in it.

I'll bring long underwear next year, coats, hats & gloves and it will probably be in the 80's for T-giving 07.

The problem with the weather is that it's very changeable. I do think the time after F&W would be less busy, but I know it will be packed for Thanksgiving, and that is when we are going.

We were there the first week in November.....still pretty crowded with Jersey week and the F&W still going on as well as the Super Soap Weekend. Weather wise, was nice during the day and got to sweat shirt material at night. It was warm enought to swim but border line for us and we are New Englanders as well. We had friends travel to WDW the last two weeks in November and the weather was up and down for them. They had the 70 degree days as well as some 50 degree days. Don't forget it will vary from year to year but on average I think November is around 70 during the day and mid 50s at night. October would be the warmer month.....

Have you thought about September? The weather can be (admittedly) hot; however, there are no crowds, you'll use less points, you'll definitely be able to swim and, if you go at the end of the month, you can still go to MNSSHP (if that is your bag). DW and I took our son this past September around the middle of the month, and we had a great time. The parks really were empty (even with the free dining promotion). The weather wasn't bad either (warm, but tolerable; though we are from Atlanta, so that could be relative) As an added bonus, this year Disney started a new promotion for families with pre-school age children that had EMH at the MK every day of the week, lots of extra characters, special character meals and free kid's concerts. It was really great for us. We will definitely be going back during September again.

We also always used to go in October, but switched to September due to Oct crowds. September is usually hot, but very slow and minimal lines. If you like the pools and don't mind the heat, it is a great time to go.

(Funny, but we now no longer go in September because I can't take the heat anymore...I'm at that age  )
