Opinions Needed for December

We have a trip planned for December. We were going to arrive on 12/07/14 for 10 nights. My dh thinks we should change it for the 12th and free dining. I'm trying to decide if the crowds will be heavier during Pop Warner, or for free dining. I was hoping to get feedback from those who were there last year. Any opinions. Thanks

We are gong 18-24 and have been in the past always checking out on Xmas eve..it is busy but since you original trip falls most within the free dining I would agree to change the check in to get free dining.

Looking at just crowds, I think you are going to MAYBE have less crowds during your earlier time. We have been during POP and have not found it to be a huge deal with park crowds.You do however want to avoid the resorts they are staying in. The values mostly and a few of the moderates. We do stay deluxe if we go during this time, and thats about the only time we do that. Crowds will get heavier the closer you get to Christmas too. We have not been that close to Christmas so I am not sure WHEN they get really heavy. It will depend also on what day of the week Christmas is as that effects when kids will get out of school. Also remember to get free DDP you will pay rack rates on the room,so compare those cost to get a true picture of savings vs crowds.

We are planning on staying at Bonnet Creek as we have 8 people, and love the resort. The presidential units are beautiful and half the price of onsite. Of course, if we go free dining, we will have to stay onsite. I've always enjoyed early December, although we went September last year and had a nice trip. We've always avoided pop really don't like the free dining dates. I'm afraid 10 days will put us to close to the Xmas crowds, as we always left by the 19th and we found the last few days were much busier. Thanks again
