We are going to be in Epcot for my daughter's 21st birthday. She is very much a drama/theater kid and wants to dress up fun for her birthday. She has this Frozen Anna outfit that she has worn for dapper day at Disneyland. She wanted to wear it for her 21st, but I am worried Disney may consider it a costume on a normal day vs allowing it on dapper day.
What do you guys think? Could she get away with it on her birthday?

Personally I think it looks too much like a costume but it really does depend on the CMs working that day. I've seen people straight up dressed as anime characters in Epcot (which I would consider more of a costume than an Anna dress but I digress). I agree with the previous poster - she should bring another set of clothes just in case a CM asks her to change.

Yeah, this is what I told her too. But told her I would get second opinions. While it's acceptable for Dapper Day, I think it may cross the lines on a normal day. It's ultimately up to her if she brings it, but she needs to have a back up outfit. I also think WDW is different from Disneyland. Somehow I feel you could get away with this more at Disneyland than WDW.
I appreciate your thoughts and will relay them on to her.

That would not be allowed. For the sake of children around and to help avoid confusion to them, please do not try. If it's a Halloween party where children expect to see adults in costumes that's one thing but in the parks on a regular basis, no.

  2. Some outfits inspired by Star Wars. Learn more

I agree. I talked to her about this issue specifically. She actually does costume character at two other major non-Disney parks, so she gets this. She wouldn't want kids at the park confusing her with the "real" Anna either.
I think we are now looking at other options. I really needed a little backup from my Disney community so she could see it wasn't just mom saying no. 🤪

yeah I was going to say she looks so polished that people will think she works there. it might be disruptive and time consuming to her itinerary that day if people keep approaching her, although I’m sure she’d be flattered. Glad y’all sorted it out!

You have a lovely daughter and a happy 21 to her….here’s my thought: when your daughter was younger, if she saw a drunk Anna (assuming Epcot drink around the world is reason for going there), how would you have reacted as a young girls mom?
I say the outfit is a little to close and could confuse younger patrons. Just a thought.

Um, yeah, you definitely don't know my daughter. First, she is such a goody two shoes. Second, she is spending her 21st with good old Mom and Dad, so I don't think getting drunk is on her agenda at all. That is very much NOT her MO.
