Opinions needed: Character Breakfast on first or second day?

We will be heading to Disneyland parks for 3 days in November (a Thursday-Saturday) with our three boys age 2, 5, and 7 yrs. we are staying at a Kids Suite at the Hojo (we love it there) and walking to DLR each day. I'm trying to decide if we should book our character breakfast (probably Minnie and Friends) on our first morning there (since it'll be a Thursday so crowds should be lower) or Friday (so we can take advantage of the first day the park to just concentrate on rides but may risk the kids being more tired by day two for an early morning reservation). Thoughts?

If you have a three day park hopper, Thursday you will have a Magic Morning. So I would take advantage of that, and do the breakfast the second day.

I would also add that on Sat you could make a ressie for Minnie 's during MM hour and get in early that day too if you use your MM on Thurs.

I would go with the second day as well. That way, you can focus on the parks upon arrival and on your second day, you could take some free time to relax while enjoying a good breakfast!

I would agree with previous posters to not do the breakfast the first day. I would plan it for whatever day the parks are most likely to be busiest. We did the Minnie breakfast in the park on a MM day after the MM hour and it worked out great. We went early and did the rides in FL and then zipped over to breakfast. We loved it. Thursday morning crowds probably won't be bad so I would use that time for attractions rather than sitting at breakfast.

We always do ours on a MM day. Both years, it's our first day there. I like it because I think it starts off our vacation in a fun way. And we get that first pic in front of an empty castle.

The other benefit to the second day is you can pick up an autograph book ahead of time if you plan to.
