I'm in need of some opinions on my ADR's. I tend to over obsess in an effort to make everything "perfect" and I'm driving myself crazy. I'm going with my Dad and Gramma. We are mainly doing early dinners then a park because while she is beyond spunky (still helps run our family restaurant 6 days a week) its too much for her (74 yrs old) to be running around all day..this is supposed to be a vacation!! :cool1: So most of our CS will be during the day on the Boardwalk or Hurricane Hanna's or Beaches n Cream in between the gym and the pool!! I'm in need of one more TS ADR...Biergarten (though I'm not sure my dad would enjoy sitting at a table with a ton of other people) Rose & Crown, Kona, O'Hana?? I'm open to different things...looking for variety in atmosphere..though we're all big sticklers when it comes to great service and like to eat pretty healthy (my Dad is 2 years post-op gastric bypass) Thanks in advance for any feedback!!

Teppanyaki is fun and a fairly healthy meal. It would be a situation where your dad would likely have to sit at a table with strangers, but I have done this a couple of times and have not been bothered. Things like that normally bother me. You could sit your dad on the side next to you and not next to the others sharing your table. I don't know when your are going but I believe Tep is closed March 11 through July 14.

Sounds like you are going to have a great trip! I noticed in your post that you will be eting at Beaches and Cream quite often I just wanted to make sure that you knew it was a table service. I don't think even the ice cream from the take-out window can be eaten on the dining plan although maybe there is an item or 2 that can be a snack? If you were planning on paying out of pocket then disregard! We are staying at BCV in July and will be eating at B&C paying out of pocket moret han once probably!
As far as TS restaurants, did you want EPCOT only? Because the Concourse Steakhouse in the Contemporary was very good when my husband and I went last month. In Epcot we are fans of the Biergarten, Alfredo's and are trying Le Cellier for the first time in July too. Good luck with the decision! Wherever you choose will be wonderful I am sure!

This isn't on your list, but my MIL LOVED the theming of 50's PT. She still talks about it. :)

Oops about B&C -- looks like we'll be at Boardwalk Bakery for most of the CS (which is ok though bc their food is yummy) I will try B&C though!

How's the food at 50's though...I've read mixed reviews???

Anyone gone to California Grill that doesn't like sushi?? I love it, but my Dad and Gram don't so I'm hoping the rest of the menu is good too...

I have been there 3 or 4 times and keep going back. I actually chose it as my Birthday day lunch. :) The food and service has been great every time we have been there.

Calfornia Grill is a must do each trip for our family and only 3 out of 6 of us eat sushi. There are so many good things on that menu. I often choose a salad and a flatbread. But we love the steak there as well as the pork. EVerything is good and so is the service.

BCMarketplace is also QS on the DDP and has soups, salads and cold snadwiches. But QS is not as good an option in the Epcot resort area as it is at other places. At the Marketplace, the only thing you can get with a sandwich is chips...yuck! And dessert can only be a piece of fresh fruit, Mickey bar or Rice Crispie Treat unless things have changed. Other resorts have so many more options like side salads, fruit cups, celery and carrots, any dessert under $4.

Kona is a great choice. Unless you really love buffets, I'd reconsider Cape May.;) Raglan Road at DTD is good and different. And if you think your father would not enjoy sitting with others at Biergarten, why not try somewhere else? We didn't think we would mind it at all but had an unpleasant dinner with a whining German exchange student seated with us.:sad2: Rose and Crown has great atmosphere and we've always had very good service there.

Yacht Club Galley at the YC doesn't get much notice but it is one TS and is a good choice if you like the menu.

Thanks for all the great advice..keep it coming!!

I'm now very intrigued by 50's PT...how about Sci-Fi or Hollywood Vine?

BCV23 -- My dad loves mussels, oysters, etc. and so I think Cape May is going to stay. I remember it being good as far as a buffet goes and its the only one I have planned. Thanks for the insight into CA grill. I think I'm going to stick with that one and add Kona Cafe!

Definitely glad I'm in charge of ADR's this year!! My dad has a tendency to change his mind sooo much and it is so annoying! Last year he changed his mind so many times one night bc he didn't want to wait (very impatient) and we didn't have an ADR that we ended up doing CS in MK,was actually pretty good, but we were so frustrated by the time we ate!! (I'm a health nut and I get extremely cranky if I don't eat about every 3 hours!)
