Opinions for deals in January!!!

I know no one knows for sure, but is there a decent chance that there will be some good deals the week of January 2, perhaps free dining? Any idea when these deals usually come out?

Also, if free dining is offered, it is usually only on a full priced room, correct? In your opinion, is this still a good deal?

Disney could or could not offer free dining in Jan, they have in the past but I would not consider it a regular thing. I would look for those deals to come out in Oct or Nov.



Free dining does require room purchase a full price. Whether it is a good deal or not depends on the resort category and how many people you have IMO. We find it a good deal in the values and moderates but not in the deluxe, the % off discounts in the deluxe for us work out better. Sometimes depending on what % off we can get in the moderates sometimes it is better to take the % off (AP discounts) and add the dining plan and pay for it. We have never found a scenario for us in values that FD is not the better deal.

FYI you might want to try the discount rates and codes board here on the Dis, although people are using this board a lot for these types of questions, this board is not for discount promotions it is more for themes or celebrations Disney does and has done in the past. The discount rates and codes board will have more activity with more up to date information than this board.
