hi all!

Please help us plan a non-Disney vacation!

gasp! i know, but it's ok. DW and I have been AP holders for years and want to try something new in between visits. Our child is gonna be 4 ... we're looking for something tropical like that.

Atlantis vs Beaches Turks and Caicos? anyone with opinions or experience? or can you suggest something else? Vegas with a kid perhaps?

All help appreciated. Thanks!

I've only seen Atlantis from the outside, but it looks really awesome and great for kids. The beach and the slides would pull any family in! But what I have heard about it is that it is expensive - not so much the room rate, but the nickel & diming that goes on. Others may have more insight to that though and could easily dispute me with the facts :)

However, I have been to Sandals - Beaches couple's equivalent - and they were well worth the price we paid. This will give you the all-inclusive atmosphere and it looks like a great place for kids and adults alike. Sandals (in St. Lucia) was top notch so I have no doubt Beaches would be too. I've always wanted to go to Turks & Caicos.

DH and I do mostly travel to other places besides WDW and the Caribbean is one of my favorites. I'd vote Beaches :)

We did Atlantis when DD was 6months and really enjoyed it, though it is expensive, may be otherwise if you got their all inclusive package. I would definitely go back and take the kids. I can not speak for Sandals or Beaches, as we have never been.

There are a ton of family friendly activities at Atlantis and the pools and beaches are wonderful.
